I totally agree. Brian and Roger together without a singer would be phenominal. I always thought they should have done that all along. I enjoyed the time with Paul, he took the songs to a blusier side, but Brian and Roger are still "Queen", and I'd love to see them together in an "unplugged" type setting.
Brian and Roger were true major talents- and Freddie watched them for a while, knowing he wanted to work with these guys. And he saw their music and heard what he wanted before he approached them when they were auditioning-Good going Freddie! #Brian May- #rated number 26 guitarist world wide.(RSTONE MAG)
This unplugged version is the best yet!! It’s adorable! I love the jazzy blues story to go with this. It’s perfect, Bri!!!! This has always been one of my favorite songs but now it’s even better yet! I LOVE this one! I need to somehow save this so I can play it again and again! 😅❤😊😢😢
Great post.. Try Sleeping on the sidewalk from News of the world, and anything acoustic from Brian May-He finally has been recognized as one of the top 10 guitarists--
I remember watching this at the time. Cannot believe it was 26 years ago. So good it became the first VHS that I ripped the audio from and put on CD. Glad it's immortalised online
That was awesome. Paul Rodgers would have been awesome singing the song in this arrangement. I'd love Brian and Roger to do a stripped down semi-acoustic theatre tour actually...no new singer, just the two of them playing around loosely, maybe doing new arrangements away from the pressures of the "Queen" name.
Here's a little story for you guys...Brian brings TYMD into a whole new animal! #Loving it...here's some advice for you...#Spike Edney jams#Jamie Moses always smiles#the girls add the vocals and Brian writes, plays and tells us a story-He just slays it!
totally agree. We saw them in Hollywood and while I totally give Rodgers credit and appreciate what he did, my fave parts where when Roger or Brian sang.
Dreadfl Quality I have the orginal video of this from which ALL other boots out there were copied from...how about that...my mate Mike taped it on VH1 for me in 1998!! (how do I know - cos the first few minutes of this show are cut on my video and ALL other copies!!!)
@@Daniela_Germany Absolutely no way that was overdubbed, but that recording sounds like an acoustic guitar and/or a violin. The VH1 recording sounds like a Red Special being played over an acoustic guitar. That's the difference. Now, I want to see a violin cover of TYMD, because that was great.
@@aisle9 I'm not really convinced... It's true that this recording here sounds a bit more like an electric guitar than the one at Big Mama Club, but I don't hear too much of a difference. Also, when he can make that little guitar sound like THAT (absolutely love it), why would there be a need to overdub it? But I'm not a guitarist, so maybe I'm unable to hear things properly. Any opinions by other people out there? :-) (TYMD guitar solo starts at 33:13 in the other video) Also, thinking of it...I can't really see Brian doing something like that. Overdubbing ok, but with another kind of guitar? He would consider it a kind of cheating.

Needless to say,
Brian is the best.

"He starts to play his guitar. I wonder how he manages this in his car"

best thing I've ever stumbled across on youtube. Brian is so damn cool! thanks for the upload!

Brian Makes the Acoustic sound like Red Special ,unique sound and style
Kickass! I love Bri in that shirt :p

I reckon Brian sounded heaps like Paul here. Magic
Wow! I REALLY LOVE this one. Brian gets two gold stars, one for sexy, one for adorable. You can see he was having a great time with this one!
Yeah! What a masterpiece!
Just amazing, the story behind the song was great
I had the single on 45 and used to play it on 33 to sound like a blues song. Fantastic

So much blues in that version, well, so much rock too...
Anyway, so great version!!
Brilliant !!!
:d funny how he tell story:d great song with Brian May and musicians. Thaks for sharing:);)
Not quite sure what I just watched, but it was pretty good! :)
This is the "alternate ego" of Brian May down to the ground
Maestro!!!.
Wow...just...wow.
This is superb!
Awesome find :)

awesome version ,written in Tenerife many moons ago
Very well put together, the slow start sounds like a variation on the melody of "Get Back" by The Beatles but it works just fine.
wow...awesome
yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh! esa brian!!!! buena version :)
Sounds like country song
Basically is a country song lol
Acoustic version sounds like Get Back by the Beatles. This song should only be performed electric guitar turned up to 11
he just... does
We are not worthy.
Dr Rock.

Brian kinda cheating the whole mtv unplugged thing if he’s just playing an overdriven acoustic lmao but i love it
I mean, if anyone can do what they want at a VH1 Unplugged gig and get away with it, it would be Brian May!
Nirvana also did it :D
This shits all over most unplugged versions
Guys, Brian May is a legend, but even he can't make an acoustic guitar sound like that. It was overdubbed with the Red Special later. Sorry.
Isn’t he using a pickup on that acoustic?
I was in the studio on the day this was recorded, I promise you he can!
Compare it with this recording: ua-cam.com/video/Bv5YKbCTuME/v-deo.html
According to the description, I very much doubt that THIS was overdubbed.

Why's he got an American accent? Cringe
