I worked for Stu Spector and Alan Charney at the Brooklyn shop from 1980 to 1983. The machinery has certainly advanced but it is good to see the hand labor and hand-held power tools still in use. It takes personal attention to build a fine instrument.
I love spector basses soo much, this made me tear up a little. Seeing the birth of a bass with the sad piano music, is almost too much. Are there any up for adoption?
I now own a Spector Euro 5 LT out of this amazing factory. The best instrument I have ever owned. Seeing this video presentation just makes me even more connected to the craftspeople so very far away who gave me this perfect bass. Thanks you so very much
I want to say “Thank You!!!” to everyone at the Czech factory. Both of my Spectors are Euro models, and they are both incredible. I own a few U.S. made handcrafted basses (Alembic, Roscoe, etc.,) and my Spector Euros are equal to them in construction quality, fit and finish, fretwork, playability, tone, etc. I will definitely be buying a couple more Spector Euro basses in the future! Thanks again to the people at NBE, for their impeccable craftsmanship.
Thank you for your great work! I am awaiting my new Euro LT4 Red Fade Gloss. I do own a 90s Korean NS2 that I bought brand new when I was in my early twenties and that bass has served me well. This new Euro is going to be epic. I have never even tried out a Euro before because they don't hang on the walls here for sale. I just have strong faith that greatness is coming to me!
I own 2 Euros, a blue 4 string and a white 5er. These are excellent instruments! Nice to see where they were crafted. These look like happy folks. My dream job is to build basses forever, but I guess I'm stuck being an electrician for now. Love the video! Nice job, Spector!
That would be great. Unfortunately, there are no factory direct sales from that facility. However saying that, they are still much more affordable than the USA made Spectors with quality that is pretty much on par with the USA basses.
Some of the Euro Basses have better finishes than the USA hand built basses and the woods are getting better , but they are doing really exotic finishes for the Asian market that we in Australia and other lands don't see or get??? I have both USA and Euro Spector basses and had an issue with a USA NS 4 needing to be refretted upon arrival , thus leaving a very sour taste in the mouth and minor dispute with Spector . The Euro have a somewhat better quality control than (USA) but the USA has the more exotic quilt tops and better hardware and electronics . I would go with the Bartolini Option over the new EMG X pickups though!
Yes when they are in Fender Vintage territory you have got to wonder ? And they do not have god resale value at all. Like I said I have both and never had a problem with the Euro basses.@@jackshittle
@@jackshittle I see your post was from 6 months back. In case you are interested, here is the list of the Spector Artist (signature) series basses. You'll notice that the majority of them are Euro, not USA made basses. That says a lot about the quality basses that are produced there! www.spectorbass.com/ArtistSeries
Except for the fact Spector makes a 24 fret neck with access to only 21 of them due to the body design, this is a decent bass. The reluctance of Stuart to make the upper register accessible is annoying. If you have no need to go above the 21st fret or are scared to go there is another story.
@@walt1a what about 6 strings which are basically made for chord and soloing? upper fret access is a must at this price range and I own euro 5 lx custom.

Absolutely!
Applause to all of the employees at the Czech Republic facility that make Spector basses, fine work indeed!!!

I purchased EURO5LX last year.
l am moved with a splendid sound.
And this bass can look at the created factory and is glad.
from Japan
I am a proud owner of a euro 4 lx. Best instrument I ever owned. Thanks for being so awesome!
Me too

hurry up with mine! No wait, keep taking your time to deliver a beauty and fine instrument!
As good as any high end bass, superb instruments well done to that work force.

I just ordered the same bass in Blue Fade Gloss. I cannot wait! Did you ever get yours and if so, how long was the wait?
Я несколько раз посещал эту фабрику, представить себе не возможно на сколько душевные люди там работают и вкладывают в инструменты своё добро!!!
In one word......Impressive
I love my Euros...thanks folks! I own 3...2001 blue 4 string, 2018 white 5 string and a 2020 tobacco eurobolt...great instruments!
What a beautiful video...
Czech made Spector 5 string I have. Love it. So this is where my bass was born. Cool.
Beautiful video..beautiful people.

Very cool. Nice getting to see where mine was made. 🤘🎸🤘
hello! my bass Spector Rebop 4 made in Czech Republic , very very good bass! thanks !
Thank for your craftsmanship. I own (2) Euros, A Ian Hill and a New Spector X Thunderbird... they are amazing
nice video!!! much respect for those workers and their amazing job!
Maravilloso y conmovedor, gracias por darnos estos magníficos instrumentos. Felicitaciones por su bello trabajo.
Are the new 2022 Euros still being made in this factory I just ordered a EURO LX 4 once I saw all the hand work I was sold Very Impressive!!
Who else thought the white van wasn't going to stop?
Exactly what made me nervous lol
Sono ancora più contento di avere un Euro
In Japan , this type of Spector bass guitar costs in the 300,000 to 400,000 yen range.
I also have one.
La Peavey HP2 también se construye ahi?
I would take an airplane today to go there to buy one.......
That would be great. Unfortunately, there are no factory direct sales from that facility. However saying that, they are still much more affordable than the USA made Spectors with quality that is pretty much on par with the USA basses.
Is there a direct factory sale possibly?
Is this the facility that's making the Peavey HP2s now?

Why no Spector sign on the outside of the building

Try the Rudy Sarzo model...full access all the way up, plus tremendous tone pssibilities!
agree totally

@@veryniceindeed same deal. I had a spector euro 6. Good tone, poor access.
I've had no problem playing the highest notes, just gotta change hand position
