- Walt Disney Worlds Wilderness Lodge is probably the nicest Disney resort I have ever stayed at. It is a Deluxe resort with so many cool perks. The whispering canyon is a crazy fun restaurant at the Wilderness Lodge. And if you stay at the Wilderness Lodge you can stay late after the park closes Because it is a Deluxe resort.

So glad to run into y’all that day. Mario and Corinne (we yelled “provost” from whispering canyon the first day of our trip. Wish we were back there. Such a great place to stay, and you guys were so nice to meet.
I've stayed at EVERY resort at WDW and Wilderness is the BEST. In 2000 I bought into Disney Vacation Club, and the Villas at Wilderness Lodge (now known as Boulder Ridge) is my home resort. True, Animal Kingdom Lodge has animals, BUT I still prefer WL. The whole property still feels like the Walt Disney World I grew up at in the '70's. As it's in a wooded setting, it never feels crowded, and because of the location, unless you make a point to go there, very few guests from the rest of WDW or day guests travel over to the hotel. Two other food options are the Roaring Fork quick serve, and the awesome Geyser Point Bar and Grill, located alongside Bay Lake. Although covered, every seat feels like you're outside. The Villas have their own spectacular lobby which is 5 stories tall, all fitted out with fireplaces and rocking chairs. It also has a room dedicated to Walt Disney and his trains. In fact, there's a freight car on display from his Carolwood Pacific RR. Also wonderful is the 6-7 minute boat ride to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom. And after a long day at the MK, the trip back on the boat is the most stress free mode of transportation on Disney property. I highly recommend Disney's Wilderness Lodge.
I love that at such a fancy deluxe resort the CM’s are still able to be silly, fun and play with the guests.
The only problem is you guys keep adding incredible places for me to add to my never ending list of where I want to go!

I was able to spend 10 days at Wilderness Lodge in 2006. It's my favorite of all of the WDW resorts. I loved the easy boat rides over the Magic Kingdom and the Contemporary Hotel.
Hey, Ive read that you can save time on the buses if you boat over to Contemporary then use their transportation (Monorail, buses) to parks other than MK. Is that true?
@@paulafindley3688 I'm not sure they opened them boats again , when we were there 3 months ago no boats went from wilderness to the contemporary. So we boated to the magic Kingdom then 10 minute walk to the contemporary

Love Whispering Canyon!! Breakfast is delicious and it was the least expensive sit down meal during our trip. We went in Dec and the lobby was decorated so beautifully for Christmas. We will definitely stay at this resort one day 😍🌲🪵🍳🥓🧇💚
Whispering Canyon is my FAVORITE place to eat. I went there 2 years in a row (2007-8) and got the same server Rebecca. The detail in the lobby and throughout are aMaZiNg!!! I did get to see that 3rd fireplace courtesy of Rebecca. When I asked for strawberry jam, she brought me a whole case of Smuckers! I was "dyin'!" Love the large hats. On my mom's birthday (different restaurant) she got a giant sombrero placed on her head with staff sing happy birthday. Glad ya'll had a great time there. Michael T

The is a beautiful resort. The downside we found is we fell in love with the gondolas from the Caribbean Resort but we will someday stay here. Love the cabin feel and seeing all the wildlife. Thank you for the detailed secrets reveal, awesome 😎

Hey Chris and Amanda, I would love to see you do a secrets revealed of the Fort Wilderness campground. I have stayed at that resort almost once a year since I was in diapers and would love to know more about it. You guys always seem to to be able go dig up information so well!

We have had the privilege of staying at the Wilderness Lodge resort twice. In my opinion it is the best resort because of where it's at, the pool, the food, the beach, the awesome new bar out on the beach, access to the Magic Kingdom, the waterfalls, the Ambiance, the store and just the atmosphere inside the lobby is like no other Resort I have ever stayed at in my entire life to be honest
I would like to add a couple things not covered
1: The resort is just across the isthmus from the Contemporary. There is a boat that goes from lodge to contemp. Its like a 3rd travel option because youre so close to the monorail
2: I am not sure if theyre still doing this, but when you book, ask if you can participate in the Flag Raising Ceremony. They will walk you to the top of the resort and raise the US Flag. From there, you can see all the parks, and most of the property that is undeveloped first thing in the morning. I believe it is a sunrise ceremony. It is worth it
Absolutely loved the video! I like everything you highlighted from the details in the Lodge to the plethora of ketchup bottles, not to mention the napkin and foam cowboy hats! That's a fun place to eat. I would take the boat to the Magic Kingdom if I stayed there - consider it another water attraction! Thanks again, Chris!

WL is one of our DVC home resorts, and our favorite resort on property. Quit making great videos and letting the secret out about our amazing home away from home! LOL.
I was already enjoying watching this video when you were showing off all the details (and hidden Mickeys) of the hotel - which does look very beautiful by the way - and then you guys just got bombed with a whole ton of ketchup bottles, and I laughed so hard. But THEN you guys got up and started taking all of your ketchup bottles to another family's table, and I couldn't handle it! That was hilarious! And the giant hat that Miles got was so funny too! Reminded me of a giant hat my brother tried on that was too big for him in Hollywood Studios a few years ago. You guys looked like you were having so much fun. And the hotel cast members are amazing too. Thank you for always bringing us positivity and laughter with your videos!

Someday I really need to stay there! I haven't been to WDW since I was in junior high in 1976 and so much has changed! (I'll be 58 on the 15th) That restaurant was amazing! Such fun! Thanks for all you do! Love and hugs as always!

Thank you... thats my dvc home.. the hundreds of secretes.. they use to have a really good tour of the lodge.. love the second fire place area upstairs and walts rail road room over in the villa.. again thank you..love ya pal
The only thing that you missed at whispering canyon is the bottomless milkshakes. Only place I've ever been where milkshakes are free refills and they go great with either the breakfast, lunch or dinner skillets

Another awesome vid and thanks again! I have yet to stay at the lodge but I did have dinner there years ago and was blown away by what I saw. Personally I like being able to walk to as many other resorts, parks etc. as I can. Is there anything walking distance from here or do you need a boat or a bus to go anywhere else?
I would so love to stay here! But the hotels are so darn expensive. I can’t spend $5-10 grand on just a hotel stay. We live literally across country in WA so when we go next year we have to go for a good amount of time. 2 weeks is our plan. Very excited. Thinking of maybe booking here for 2-3 nights at least so I can experience this beautiful hotel.

Do they still have actual camping at Fort Wilderness? Back when Epcot was new, we stayed on the Disney campground, in our own actual tent (they had big stiff aluminum poles an inch diameter then, requiring at least two people to set up), in sleeping bags. It was a great way for a family to be able to afford a Disney trip! Do they even have that option anymore? Or has it all been turned into expensive hotels and cabins now?
They still have the campgrounds at Fort Wilderness, and Hoop-De-Doo is coming back in June.

Chris and Amanda you need to stop showing all these amazing resorts at Disneyland and Walt Disney World! 😉 I have family in both Anaheim snd Orlando, so I always stay with them when I go to the parks. But I watch all these videos and it makes me want to stay at one of the resorts even against my family insistence to stay with them.
