best way to get irating is the shorter races, just as much irating as the long ones but your race is only 15min which would cut your time in half, so ferrari challenge or lmp2 challenge is good for irating
with 5.5k it also should be very popular (lmp2 is not very popular) cause he won't get much with irating for winning in the 2k sof split
Yeah just do mx5 and vee races to farm. People have gotten to 8k in a month or so.

If you liked the W11, why not give the Super Formula 23 a try? There's generally a very competitive top split, the car is very fun to drive (unforgivable at times) and I'm fairly sure you'd get some high SoF here and there.
Wouldn't give him much practice for the events he wants to compete in. For time to time variation it's a good option though.

Super formula isnt a professional esport class. Lmp classes and gt3/4 is.

In the first race you say a few times you don't know where he is. Within kapps there's a Car Left/Right spotter. It's SUPER helpful when you're on a single screen and 2 wide! I almost can't race without it now

The best iRating farming series is the "TCR fixed", short races, cars are tanks so very little chance to dnf, and it's the go-to series to farm iRating for most of the fast drivers, at least on the roadside.
On a side note, if you want to further hone your skills for multiclass racing, check "Classic IMSA series", it's probably the most difficult experience you'll get, the multiclass interaction is so fast and hectic it will make other series feel like "easy mod" when you jump back to them.

Open set up always has better strength of fields in any race. For set ups I think majors garage is the best with VRs in a close second

I tip my hat to you 👍grinding from 2k to 4k is one thing but 5k to 8k is gonna be a grind, low sof races = low IR gain or tanking 100 IR in one race if you get crashed out, and high sof races are fought tooth and nail at the pointy end ......good luck hope you make it by march ✌

Highly suggest using the iracing spotter(muted with text display) so you know where the cars beside are . or Crew Chief all though with the latest season build he is pretty redundant

That's a great tip. I use Crew Chief in all the sims, but that text would be great.
Do you have a recommendation on Virtual mirror FOV?
@AmbientMike ya that's why I meantion the text function of the iracing spotter. you can have the sound muted but still get the prompts for cars beside.
@notdreadyet33 really depends what you are racing. In Oval you want it as wide as possible so you can see the frt bumper clearly to make changing lanes easier. In road you can run less. Think mine is around 90-100
I've heard Kapps have a spotter also, will look into it.

Hello mate, enjoyed the video. Are you using a single screen? Noted a few times you mentioned not been able to see those alongside. Due to space constraints I can only use a single screen. Currently have lg c3 42 but wondering if should switch to ultra wide…assuming that’s what you have I’d love your opinions. Cheers

Would recommend you lock your fps to the minimum you get out on track so around 190/200fps from the looks of it. Helps give consistent frame timing which results in consistent input delay and an overall smoother feeling game. Should do this in any game you play whether it's a sim or other genre's that rely on precies timing of inputs

Just a tip for you pc, try putting a limit to the fps in your gpu driver or in-game so that it doesn't stress out the gpu more than necessary. Idk what Hz monitors you have tho...

I know it's not the same, but the GT4 setups from VRS have always been very good, maybe worth looking into the IMSA setups there?

Excuse my ignorance but as a Mercedes driver why not drive the VRS series with the Mercedes AMG GT3 instead of the LMP2 that has no relevance to Mercedes?
My thinking was because we want to do the Sebring special event in LMP2, I would farm irating in LMP2 as well, so I learn the car at the same time.
I have a mission for Mercedes: try to have a better car than the W14 this year

The races wouldn't be financially viable by themselves a lot of the time. Plus it makes it more exciting in endurance racing imo
imagine it as 2-4 independent races occuring all at the same time. great for variety and overtaking

It adds a whole extra layer of variables for all classes entering. Makes the races much much more exiting and difficult in my opinion.
