Great inputs on a very important issue. Quite close to my heart 👍
Additionally :-
1) This corridor issue, about tigers moving between Rajasthan and MP through Kuno Palpur was used as an argument to prevent Lions from Gir being translocated to Kuno. Real reason is different 😊. Infact Iran had asked Gir Lion in exchange for Asian Cheetah. We refused as we are not even ready to share Gir lions with other states within India 😜😛
2) Forest officials are exploring cheetah translocation to Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve ( In Rajasthan), Gandhisagar Sanctuary & Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary in MP itself. Mukandra is ideal, but comes under a different state. The two in MP are smaller and needs some development first.
3) In few years, some cheetahs in any case will be translocated, as a check against Inside breeding.

Inbreeding is common among cats, specially lions, and that's the reason Gir lions, are weak, comfortable around humans, and struggle to hunt even a calf, may be afraid of BJP Govt. lol
