I am glad you mentioned World Adventures because it is my favorite sims 3 pack and Jungle Adventure has absolutely nothing on WA. Not even crumbs. There's 24 (24!) Different tombs excluding the tombs that have different tombs within the tombs. Having Charisma and athletic skill aides in the adventures, and so much more. Sims 4 can link the bottom of my feet.
World Adventures was my favorite, too! All the tombs and places to explore, and the skills you could learn, and three unique cultures! Jungle Adventures can't even remotely compare.
so true!! it makes me so upset that i can't play this pack anymore because it's not supported on mac (they haven't updated it for 64 bit). it was the best and no sims 4 pack will come close despite being way more expensive
@@kxd4103 have you tried LazyDuchess's smooth patch? Acottonsock has videos on it but I cannot remember if it updates the sims 3 to help run it on new 64 computers or if can help run on 32 computers... might be worth a looking into tho? And if not, then I guess, if you ever update your cp, it'll make the return so much more special
@@bookswmadi unfortunately it still doesn't work, for some reason you can only run world adventures (and a bunch of other expansions like island paradise and pets) on a mac running old software (lower than catalina). i wish i could get a pc to play it on but it seems so ridiculous to buy an expensive new computer that i don't need just so i can play a game again that i already paid for :(
Same! I loved TS3 WA, it is always my go-to pack when people say that TS4 is "flawless". Nothing in TS4 even comes close to the amount of content and gameplay packed into WA.
the thing i liked about the Sims 3 World Adventures WORLDS was that, yes they were vacation worlds, but over time you up your visa points to buy a building there and live there on a temporary basis, and it was such a nice idea. I wish that the Sims 4 executed that concept too? Unless they did but I have yet to discover it.
That's why I use the all worlds are residential mod, so I can put some sims to live there in a jungle house after turning one of the rentals into a residential lot.
This is such an underrated pack, best vacation world, temple exploring and using relics is wonderfully chaotic and the build/buy is fantastic I use the plants all the time. Also, archeology earns you so much money you can pretty much be permanently on vacation, I had a sim spend pretty much her entire young adulthood in the jungle (just went home occasionally to reset the temple) before "retiring" to a massive Spanish style mansiob built with the proceeds of her tomb raiding
I do actually really like this pack it's one of my faves. I created a Sim to specifically be a jungle explorer and he's also in the teacher career lol. My very own Indiana Jones
It's a side quest kind of pack, but really fun for what it is. I liked the CAS even for casual stuff and the gameplay was fun even if short. Reminds me of Strangerville in a way that it's mostly a one time playthrough but still interesting and some CAS and build/buy work for other things.
There’s ways to generationally get replay value out of both packs. I may go a generation without anyone suited for archeology but I tend to follow each generation’s personality into what careers they pursue. So if there’s a kid who seems to be a bit of an adventurous nerd, archeology will suit him and I will follow that. Not because I want to play Jungle Adventure, but because I want to follow his path through the Jungle adventure. Wherever that takes us. I have a character I want to go mad scientist and resurrect and befriend the mother in Strangerville. I think if you are a one time and done through your avatar gameplay type, replay value is low. But if you are a character based player who follows personalities like me and play generationally there’s a reason, eventually, to come back to most packs. With Strangerville it’s just annoying that (without mods) or making a specific ‘solved Strangerville’ save base yourself, you can’t start a new save with Strangerville installed and solved already.
I recently got Jungle Adventure and paired it with an archeology career mod as I wanted an official career and not to just grind through temples. I am taking it slow as I want my sim (who lives in Tomerang) to have a life and occasionally go to Salvadore for digs. I also have Frankks language mod, so I am having her learn the language as well. I do think it’s one of the better packs to do something out of the normal gameplay loop with your Sims. Especially as a person who intentionally takes it slow in Sims, like myself. But I agree there are a bunch of things that would have made it better, like more temples and better puzzles….and world adventures (TS3) is better for similiar gameplay if you just want to play at explorer.
This is hands down one of The Sims 4's best packs, not only does it have a beautiful picturesque world, but also a lot of interesting gameplay features. I love it!
I'll never forget my first play through. Had a wholesome play planned. Forgot I had wicked installed. She got pregnant (graphically) in a temple with a stranger, they got together, kid grew up and died as a teen on Xmas day of hysterics, then dad became evil scientist and cheated on her with an alien... And she robbed him so he hated her... And now she's in su lani surrounded by artefacts living a peaceful retirement alone
I really enjoy havibg sims do the Selvadorian dance that you can unlock. But, the animation sticks out a bit because sims never move that fluidly at any other time in the game...
I have to say that I've never really played the pack from start to finish. I did play its Sims 3 counterpart regularly. Maybe I should catch up on that.
I feel so bad for people too hung up on graphics to not play the sims 3 bc world adventures is truly in my opinion one of the best sims packs of all time. It was SO much fun - I remember getting it for Christmas the year it came out and spending my whole Christmas break and the month of January exploring every inch of it! Ive played sims since the first and it always used to feel so cool and magical when an expansion would be released for sims 1 2 & 3. It was like a whole new game was added to my already fave games lol. Now I feel disappointed almost every time🫠but I agree jungle adventure was one of the better ones! It’s just when I compare it in my head to world adventures it does take the wind out of my sails. Thanks for the review Satch!
I like many things about this pack but i wish they put 1/3 the effort rhey put into world adventures and created more places to discover with puzzle systems.
one thing I really like is that when you go from area to area you will get a popup and if you have a certain skill or an item you can get something cool, and if you dont there is a chance of something bad happening. Its a good touch and helps make you feel rewarded for skilling up a sim, even if the change is minor
The temple only slightly changes when you go on 2 separate vacations, but if you finish exploring the temple, leave the jungle and come back during the same vacation, the temple has to be "solved" again and this time it's deeper, has more rooms to unlock, more chests and more precious treasures. Up to now I've only managed to discover 2 temples on a single vacation, but maybe the temple would be even bigger if you go a third time. Maybe that's also why it's only a vacation world, because the temple needs to reset itself between visits. This pack didn't really caught my interest on it's theme, I only bought it a few moths ago because one of my mods had an interesting feature with this pack, and I was nicely surprised at how much fun I had playing with it. My sims opened a beautiful antique store and when she wasn't on vacation, I was having her work her skills to get even more successful on her next trips.
I got this when they were giving it away for free. And, I've used the vacation feature and world maybe once? I just don't really like that sort of gameplay. The build items, though, are top notch, I love the look, reminds me of old mission homes in California.
There is a mod that allow your Sims to go and live in all vacation worlds. The food stand allow your Sims to learn some new recipes, just as in City Living. There are 8 regular ones and 4 «secret» ones that can get unlocked when your Salvadorian Culture get high enough. When your archaeology skill is high enough, your Sim will periodically get sent objects to authenticate. Most will grant your Sim about §4000 with a range of about §3200 to §6000.
Funny you're talking about this, i downloaded it the other day coz those who have Xbox game pass ultimate (not sure bout regular game pass) get it free as a perk right now
I feel like the build mode stuff is great for the vibes in oasis springs. The wall tiles are great. I also love that they have basically the same floor tiles but one is weathered. So I can make a nice looking patio but have one or two tiles look like they cracked to make homes look lived in.
I'm pretty sure you can dig for artifacts around on the paths in the world itself. That is, there's Jungle Adventure themed collectibles you can find on the paths of the neighborhood.
i love this pack so much! even though it gets boring after a while since you’ll learn exactly what to do and where to go, i do find a lot of joy in trying to collect all of the jungle items. plus, the traps in the temple changes everytime, so theres still a bit of mystery.
This is a great pack! Take your sim on a trip after uni once they have the skills needed for the gate tests (do an archaeology class too) and you'll go home with tens of thousands. Scan all new areas for dig sites and collect all the mud blobs you can (take home to work on after the trip) And complete the temple obvs. This pack makes you rich!! And contains maybe my fave object, the giant leaning mirror :)
I couldn't even experience the tomb. Cause one of the layouts they designed was unfinished therefore you can't complete it. So I just gave it a negative review. Especially cause outside of selecting one of four options of pulling a lever or sticking your hand into a hole. There's nothing to the tomb raiding nor the rest of the pack. Plus you can only get supplies if you go to the market every day hoping there's something in stock you need. Otherwise you have to sit around and wait a whole in game day for the new stock to appear. Then you have to hurry and buy it before one of the randomly generated townies takes it instead otherwise you guessed it. You have to wait another whole freaking day. What a garbage pack!
The outside as in the yard doesn't change but the outside as in the outside of the building does. Sometimes there is a pool, sometimes there are digstuff upstairs. Jungle Adventure is one of my top Sims 4 packs. Hahaha, I'm stuck on Sims 1 right now then intend to go back to Sims 3, maybe alternate.
I really do love your pessimistic attitude, I really think it’s hilarious but also it’s refreshing to see that you can disagree with ideas as much as you do agree with them. Not a lot of non NPC channels on here, most creators really just agree and like everything the sim devs create so finding a channel that will happily make hot takes on popular themes is lovely
I have an All Worlds are Residential mod, that lets you put Sims to live in the vacation worlds, and your other sims can still take vacations there if you leave a couple of rental lots.
This pack has some of my favorite and most used Build/Buy, and I do find myself enjoying the world when I go there. I haven’t even really messed around with the gameplay much (I should), and still, I would say this is one of my favorite packs.
This is one of my favourite worlds. If you have time find your sim something to do and go exploring on your own. The world is beautiful, there are lots of ruins and waterfalls if only our sims had the opportunity to really explore them. I take my sims camping by the swimming pool, they take a guitar, bbq and anything else I fancy and spend a couple of days looting. It is a pity we don't have the choice to live here.
i love these videos and i quite enjoy the items that came with this, and some of the gameplay. i wish we had more pretend cultures mimicking those that actually exist
World Adventures let you visit Egypt, France, and China, to my recollection. So many more options to experience culture and explore temples of different types. Jungle Adventure was such a huge step down. And I don't even like Sims 3 but I have to say, there were a few things I preferred with it.
Jungle adventure is one of my favorite packs. I use the build/buy items all the time, even if I don´t play the gameplay mechanic. I also love the archeology aspect, the items look great as a decor and it´s always a surprise. Another favorite is also Eco lifestyle. Island living on the other hand, is something I got and still have to play it... Realm of magic was fun the first time and then I rarelly use the build/buy or gameplay at all.
I have a lot of sims that can cast spells and I have fairies and witches from a mod, the magic comes in useful for cleaning and fixing things, also I have a few places in different lots where unique magical Sims live and they have their own portal to go to the magic realm, as well as a fairy statue in some places that takes them to Sylvan Glade where the fairies and unicorns live. I also use the All worlds are residential mod so some sims can live in the vacation worlds, cause it's really expensive to rent a place, and not all of my sims can afford that. Also with the Horse Ranch and some CC for horses I have Hippogriffs for the Spellcasters to ride. Mods and CC add so much to the game.
I actualy got World Adventures, but I never played it and now my Sims 3 just wont work. I love Jungle Adventure and did have an artifact shop and combined it with clubs, so they would sometimes do meetings at the shop. There is certain objects from the pack I basicly always use with all my households. Some of my earlier sims are strong archaeologists and the income from identifying stuff is unreal. :)
i downloaded sims 4 when i heard this pack was free (packaged with some other stuff packs or smth) and tbh it's fun enough to keep my ass seated grinding on collecting the items and relics.. there was no official mission or quest but i made it MY mission
Hey Satch! As an uruguayan here (South America) this pack has NOTHING of representation for most latin people, I don't even have a jungle in my country, we are very italian, spanish, european looking, just search out Montevideo Uruguay, Ciudad Vieja, Punta del Este, etc. Where is the Dulce de Leche? The Mate??? real football? Tango? Cumbia? Argentinian brothers and sisters know what I'm talking about, right? We are not represented, this pack is just what lots of ignorant people think exists below Mexico. Maybe in El Salvador, but..what about the rest of us? 🤣
honestly the reason i won't go back to a previous iteration of the sims is because the one i would want to go back to would be TS2 and my base game disk is too scratched to install. even if it would install though, i might still stick with TS4 but not because of the graphics. because TS4 is an amazing build simulator and that's why i play the sims. i do feel so bad for gameplay simmers trying to deal with the complete train wreck that is TS4. if i were a gameplay simmer i definitely would go back to 3. the gameplay is so much more immersive that if you're actually trying to PLAY, you get SO into TS3 SO fast that the graphics quickly stop mattering.
It’s the best pack. All I wanna be is Laura Croft/Indiana Jones in the Sims, and I actually get to do it. It’s one of the only parks that is genuinely immersive.
hey this gamepack is also my favourite gamepack and it's my fourth favourite world after Sulani, Tomarang and Del Sol Valley and this pack in general is at my top 10😍😍
i always thought that because it’s only a vacation world it’s again the americanism of sims 4 shining through, ‘people live there?? whaaaat!! the cultures are only there for u to holiday in in our LIFE simulation 😍’
To be fair this is not only a Sims 4 problem, it’s Sims series in general problem where you can visit vacation worlds that are non-American inspired or litterally not-America (Sims 3) but these aren’t places you live with your playable Sim. While Sims 4 has a lot of problems worth ranting about, they have seemed to abandoned the concept of vacation worlds in general and have made an effort to do non-American livable worlds in the game. Salvadora has been the exception, not the rule.
@@TheDawnofVanlife yeah true! it just always rubbed me up the wrong way with how they are often centred on american themed worlds and their past views on cultures 🤕
i love both sims and red dead but that allot of simmers dont know that like red dead aswell is we dont do red dead online we on pc like we a thing called redm, redm stands for red dead online modded services use to roleplay hope you have a great day.
i had a sim fall in love with and marry a local, and i was so annoyed when the game wouldnt let me move to the jungle. she was miserable living with him in the city, so I just motherloded millions and had him continue to rent a house in the world for weeks and weeks until i ran out of things to do and made a new family
Sorry that this isn't about this pack: Does anyone else have troubles using the EA Wallet on the EA app? Not long ago it worked fine, but now it doesn't appear as a payment option. It's probably an issue in Finland, Norway and Sweden. I had nearly 19€ on my EA Wallet left and I had to go directly to EA's website to purchase kits with it one by one. When there is 0,38€ left and it requires me to pay the rest, it doesn't use that EA Wallet money at all. 🙄
I haven't used it for a long time. It always bothered me that I couldn't combine payment methods. For example the EA Wallet and Paypal. This leaves a small amount left in my EA account.. This is really poorly done. This is very easy on Steam. But Steam is also a professional company in contrast to EA...
You can do both. You can't actually buy the Sims 2 from EA anymore. And before EA removed it from their store, they were giving it away for free. Most now consider Sims 2 abandonware. Make of that what you will. 😉 As for Sims 3, both Steam and EA often have sales that will give you at least 50% off the base game and each pack. Also look for bundles. A few times, Steam has done a sale where you could get the base game and all the packs for less than $70. Which is an amazing deal. Sims 3 is actually my favorite, but I also enjoy Sims 2. But the two games are so different that Sims 2 might be the one that appeals to you more.
Hey satch, thank you for this review. They just offered this pack for free and i discovered the temple but didnt get far except opening one passage and getting scared of the skeleton sim thinking it was some haunted mod of the world ready to kill my sim lol. This also explained why i couldnt access this world normally. all I can say is least this was 100% off aka free to download other wise i would of not been happy. I am curious if we will have a brutally hoest review of the get famous pack. I saw in the trailer there was a sim getting dressed as a rococo gentlmen and there was even another sim in rococo dress dancing and performing but from what i saw in the what you get from the pack there was no aviaable images of the rococo outfit or even the powdered wig. and was curious if that was an outfit you can only unlock after your sim is put in it or if it's just a nice cas outfit thats not avaiable except whenever the sims put in it which would be sad because Ive been wanting a rococo sim for a long time (hopefully we get a rococo world and ca in the future)
I was planning on getting this pack, but then I found out it was free last year, so I'm not going to pay for it at all, if it goes for 70% maybe but mostly I'm just going to either get it for free some day, or not get it at all🤷♀️
I keep finding myself buying sims packs also because of the cas items. Men have literally nothing. I know there is at least one kit made for only men but it’s 4,99€ for me. For like 10 or so if not less/more cas or build and buy items since it’s basically the baby sister of a stuff pack. The castle estate kit has basically 6 or so items and I didn’t buy it because I can download the same items from cc- why spent 5 euros on something that basically has 5 things? And I honestly can’t with the one kit for men??? Like why? The cas is so bad, I have to either watch a tutorial to make cute kids/toddlers/infants/adults etc… get one of the galary or play with a lesbian couple. And that’s also an issue with the sims. We need a pack for shopping.
I did have the sims 3 (CD of course) as a kid on my PC. But now I only got my MacBook and the sims 4. :( It's not possible to play the sims 3 online or is there? And I actually already bought it and also some Expansionpacks but I can't prove it haha :( Would love to play the sims 3 haha
Isn’t the sims 3 64 bit version available for Mac users in ea play? You need to register your game code to your ea account and you should be able to play without needing the cd
the game code is the product code isn't it? So its probably in the package of the CD.. Gosh I bought it probably like 17 Years ago hahah. I need to search for it at home hahah. Thank you tho!! I found the Tool on EA to type in the code :) very helpful!! @@didip1000
One tiny cute thing that I liked about the sims 3 world adventures was that if you had the sims 3 showtime you could learn traditional songs from locals when you visit those countries and the sims were singing the songs while showering and cooking after learning them 🥹 Imagine if we had this in sims 4 it would be awesome
Absolutely yes! It's one of my favorite packs, I love CAS, the build/buy mode is very beautiful and detailed and the world is very cozy and has a very present Victorian style. There is quite a lot of lore in Moolight Falls and lots to explore. The gameplay with the supernaturals is quite fun and occasionally hilarious...it's challenging to increase the powers of each creature and the wizards are especially very cool to play with...so yes, you won't regret buying it.
Afaic, Sims 3 was the last GOOD Sims game. Sims 4 was nothing but a crap rebrand of Sims 3 with ONLY better graphics. All the packs are copied from S3 and they've all been WORSE than the same pack from S3.

Jungle Adventure is top 3 for me. I use elements from that pack in pretty much all of my game saves and it isn't glitchy like a lot of the newer ones.

The only good part of this pack are the relics. You can really mess with the neighbours and it’s fun
9:01 look at young satch 😭😭🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh my gosh, I've been watching him since he had that color hair!
i love these videos and i quite enjoy the items that came with this, and some of the gameplay. i wish we had more pretend cultures mimicking those that actually exist
Agreed!!! Sims 4 - "there is nothing to do" so why do I keep buying stuff hoping that there will be something to do???
Sims 3 vacation worlds and gameplay was SO much better!
Now you made me want to try the Fairies and witches mod. It sounds like fun. @@onidaaitsubasa4177
When my sims go there they just stay in the Airbnb, party, & then go to the bar lol. I don’t the activity stuff.
Its not really about sims3 graphics being shit (though it is) but the fact it just keeps crushing anytime I try to play it 😂
honestly the reason i won't go back to a previous iteration of the sims is because the one i would want to go back to would be TS2 and my base game disk is too scratched to install. even if it would install though, i might still stick with TS4 but not because of the graphics. because TS4 is an amazing build simulator and that's why i play the sims. i do feel so bad for gameplay simmers trying to deal with the complete train wreck that is TS4. if i were a gameplay simmer i definitely would go back to 3. the gameplay is so much more immersive that if you're actually trying to PLAY, you get SO into TS3 SO fast that the graphics quickly stop mattering.
It’s the best pack. All I wanna be is Laura Croft/Indiana Jones in the Sims, and I actually get to do it. It’s one of the only parks that is genuinely immersive.
I love the women's dresses. I use it to wear for my paranormal investigators.
literally forgot about this pack
I loved world adventures in sims 3, it was perfect for a Lara croft sim! Same with this one ❤
hey this gamepack is also my favourite gamepack and it's my fourth favourite world after Sulani, Tomarang and Del Sol Valley and this pack in general is at my top 10😍😍
i always thought that because it’s only a vacation world it’s again the americanism of sims 4 shining through, ‘people live there?? whaaaat!! the cultures are only there for u to holiday in in our LIFE simulation 😍’
Is a good pack, have very items
By this point I don't even remember this pack, I thought it was another new one for a moment
I always forget about this pack tbh
World Adventures is what makes me want to return to the sims 3 so badly. But unfortunately, sims 3 has stoped running well for me.
i love both sims and red dead but that allot of simmers dont know that like red dead aswell is we dont do red dead online we on pc like we a thing called redm, redm stands for red dead online modded services use to roleplay hope you have a great day.
i had a sim fall in love with and marry a local, and i was so annoyed when the game wouldnt let me move to the jungle. she was miserable living with him in the city, so I just motherloded millions and had him continue to rent a house in the world for weeks and weeks until i ran out of things to do and made a new family
Serious question, to help me decide what to pick... Sims 2 or Sims 3?
You can do both. You can't actually buy the Sims 2 from EA anymore. And before EA removed it from their store, they were giving it away for free. Most now consider Sims 2 abandonware. Make of that what you will. 😉
As for Sims 3, both Steam and EA often have sales that will give you at least 50% off the base game and each pack.
I was planning on getting this pack, but then I found out it was free last year, so I'm not going to pay for it at all, if it goes for 70% maybe but mostly I'm just going to either get it for free some day, or not get it at all🤷♀️
SatchOnSims, can you please tell me how to get a refund on Sims 3 DLC
I really like this pack. I only think it's weird that archeology is a skill and not a career
My Sims enjoyed Jungle Adventure and made a lot of $$.
My first ever GP ☺️
For the Sims 4 that is.
Khaki short shorts, light blue tank, braided hair. Boom.
I did have the sims 3 (CD of course) as a kid on my PC. But now I only got my MacBook and the sims 4. :(
It's not possible to play the sims 3 online or is there?
I own the sims 3 and I love. Quick question is sims 3 supernatural worth buying?
Absolutely yes! It's one of my favorite packs, I love CAS, the build/buy mode is very beautiful and detailed and the world is very cozy and has a very present Victorian style. There is quite a lot of lore in Moolight Falls and lots to explore. The gameplay with the supernaturals is quite fun and occasionally hilarious...it's challenging to increase the powers of each creature and the wizards are especially very cool to play with...so yes, you won't regret buying it.
@@viniciustolfo3283thank you for replying i was just wondering does vampires come with it or do you need late night.
Vampires do come with Supernatural. With Supernatural, you can create Vampires in CAS. Late Night doesn't let you do that
Thank you for your reply
I just switched back to the Sims 3 and gonna tell you what... Sims 4 Could Never
i love the oven but it's so hard to find the temple
I've still not managed to get to the island
@@mumplaysthesims8396 i didn't even know there was one :(
Cool shirt.
I was so disappointed that it was a vacation lot and not a world. I was really underwhelmed by it
if this came out now, it would be an expansion pack. which is very very sad
Btw this is so amazing I love the sims 4 it’s the best game .
a Bruce Lee Honest review
satch u are way too nice in this video is ea holding you hostage blink twice
Playings sims 3 again has absolutely ruined all the sims 4 packs for me because they seem so lame by comparison
Afaic, Sims 3 was the last GOOD Sims game. Sims 4 was nothing but a crap rebrand of Sims 3 with ONLY better graphics. All the packs are copied from S3 and they've all been WORSE than the same pack from S3.
Def gonna make a gang😭
When you have the all residential mod your can live there 🥸
