13:59 इस फिल्म के निर्देशक कमाल अमरोही इनकी एक पुस्तक मैंने पढ़ी है।.इश्काचा जहरी प्याला, कमाल अमरोही का जीवन चरित्र पुस्तक मराठी भाषा में है ! उसमे ये लिखा है की मौसम है आशिकाना ये गाना चित्रित करने के लिए उनको आठ दिन लगे, आठ दिन वहा रुकना पड़ा। क्यों कि आकाश में वो रंग सिर्फ ५ मिनिट के लिए आते थे जब सूरज डूबता था। वह शॉट लेने उनको बड़ी मेहनत करनी पड़ी। .क्योंकि उस ज़माने में कॉम्पुटर एडेड व्ही ऍफ़ एक्स इफेक्ट नहीं थे! असल में शूट करना पड़ता था।

While depicting the oldest profession, there’s precious little not to love. Meena Kumarie undoubtedly gave her ultimate best. Not often we encounter a perfect storm, because of the millions of minute details, intricacies and precision timing required to pull it off, I can see clearly why Pakeeza was a lifetime endeavor for Mr. Kamal Amrohi. His attention to detail was immaculate, globally this movie will forever live in our hearts and becomes embedded in our souls as we become older. There are no appropriate praises on Earth to offer Lata Mangeshkar for what She gave us in Pakeezah. Thanks.

I have been watching these songs once a while since 1972 yet they never fail to make me emotional and even ecstatic. A great piece of work of art on par with great classics of Hollywood. Salute to Amrohi Saab for his attention to detail. We can see the change of position of moon as the song plays in chalte chalte. And the deep echo of sound expected in an open space in chalo dil yaar made me awestruck.
Heart touching lyrics coupled with light and pure music made all the songs joyful and melodious. These soul touching songs are always living and will live for an era.
possibly the best Bollywood musical score from 1970 till date. Certainly the best hindi film soundtrack of the 1970s. And Chalte Chalte is the best song in the film. Lyrics, playback, music (including that incredible percussion) - it all comes together. This song is a masterpiece.
