There's something inside me that leaps with joy when I hear this tune... There's something in the whole idea of having a place where all the separate peoples live together in such beautiful harmony, and then being able to actually hear that harmony being represented through music!! Sehnsucht is really the best word I can think of to describe the way I feel about it. Like that's what the world should strive for, but it's hard because there are so many problems...... Yeah, I really love Tarrey Town. Lol
I liked it, but only in a fictional scenario can so many races coexist without massive chaos and death following. These kind of bad examples shouldn't be set tbh.
Listening to the song the first time I was kinda confused when you faintly hear them, then as they get louder and I knew what it was It always brings a smile
I *love* the little piano jingle for when new villagers are departing to Tarrey Town. It's like...a sad, but content little tune, a sulky sigh of someone who's old life has gone down in ways that leave them a stranger in their own home. But that's okay. You can keep going, live life anew, meet new people, become happy. Just don't tarrey too long ♥

It's like you're building up the music along with the rest of the village and its people. It starts with a few shy instruments, slowly adds notes from towns all around the world like the various folk joining the village, and eventually swells up into a track full of life, with the wedding crowning the village's successful creation.
I'm crying. It's just really nice to have a safe haven in such a sad destroyed world. There's hope. Even when the darkness seems to win the light will always shine through. Remember to be grateful and blessed everyday because you are loved
What a wonderful side quest. It's just great to be able to put a community together. All the people there; Human, Goron, Zora, Rito, Gerudo, they all come together and build a home, and begin their live again. I didn't notice this, but it's actually possible Tarrey Town is built on the remains of Ganon's Castle from Ocarina of Time, so it is reclaiming the beauty and life of the world that was stolen long ago.
I love how Tarrey Town feels like my home, like my little home base. Like after a long journey of beating bokoblins and monsters, I can come back to Tarrey Town to replenish, gain hearts & stamina, gather materials, and be welcomed by the beautiful holding music. Ugh I just love these games (botw & totk) so much.
Thanks alot for this man. This sidequest was one of my favorite sidequests in a game in a very long time, even though it was so simple. Seeing the town evolve both visually and aurally was just really heart-warming. Every time I'd bring back a new person to the town I'd always stop and talk to people, hear what they had to say, and sit back and listen to their contribution to the new backing track. It's little touches like that that make this game so memorable for me. They could've just had the same generic music playing in the town, but they gave the place it's own theme to represent all the people that worked to bring the town to life. My only complaint is that the Goron contribution sticks out the most by far. But that might just be because it's the first one you hear...
I completely agree, this side quest was simply magnificent. I played this game when it came out, and since I'd recently dropped out of music school, it was heartwarming in the realest sense. I didn't have to miss out on the hands-on piecing together of some beautifully layered music--I could get the feeling from a video game. ^_^
@@That_Ifrit_Guy I love how each of the instruments sound so similar to the original songs from each culture, like a new song being rewritten as each person learns to play their part to contrast and compliment everyone else's.
I love your comment. You encapsulated my feelings on the matter well. However, I would add about the Goron. While the horn is loud and accidently imposing, I think it suits the personality well. Tarrey Town wouldn't be the same for me without the blend of all the cultures mixed together.
I want the wedding variant to be played at my wedding. The entire side quest and watching the town progress along with the music and seeing everything come together is absolutely beautiful. Not only that but it’s great to see joy and peace after a long journey knowing that Calamity Ganon can’t put these people to misery. Even the Hylians that become residents when the town is built are great characters. Granté who is Robbie’s son and sells really important items, the rich man and his family who teaches you that not everything in life has to do with money and helping his sick daughter, the old couple who circle the town and have retired their peacefully. This has to be one of the greatest if not the best side quests in all of gaming history
See? This is why Tarrey Town is my favorite music track and side quest in this game. Because not only is it lengthy, but it really adds up to the creativity to the game. I also like how the music keeps on adding instruments as you send people into the village. It gives it a sense of progression just like in the Yoshi's Island games and Paper Mario: Color Splash. And when the final version comes, it's at its happiest and liveliest harmony ever. The melody of this song is just perfect and it's so relaxing to listen to.
This song gives me a massive barage on nostalgia. I cant explain my happiness out of finding this song again. It will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you.
the fact this song evolves over time until the town is finished and a wedding theme to boot WITH the bolson construction sounds, is awesome, i love tarrey town, as im sure many if not all of us do, to see hudson start from scratch and get married, and being a part of that, so good, thanks for putting this together

The one thing I want in BotW 2 is Terry Town to have grown into a major village, maybe with houses and shops built along the side of the rock formation down to the water.
This is a great game, from the main story line, the bosses, the side quests, the music, heck even the mini adventures that are not even related to any of these make this an awesome game. Highly recommended game

I remember when I first talked to Hudson after buying my house and he walked away to Akkala and it played that music, and I was like, wtf, that was a little overly dramatic. Eventually though, after progressing further in the game, I figured out what was going on and helped him build the town.
I absolutely love both the saxophone as the main melody, and the trombone. In fact, I love all of the elements of the song, though the trombone and saxophone are the best for me. This song is perfect. Edit: Nevermind! I didn't realize that the wedding theme ( 8:00 ) actually had little Bolson Construction sounds! I love the detail, Koji Kondo!
I still think they should make a spin-off called Bolson's Builders and you just go around rebuilding every village, stable, ruin, town, EVERYTHING. Build all the things.
I want the wedding part to play as I walk down the aisle.....Is that weird? Probably too weird. But the three or four people who would get the reference would love it. Maybe a live instrumental version on an organ and with a piano, and maybe a cajon for those beats in there. Just beautiful.

Is the main riff from this sampled from an older Zelda song?
I'm not 100% sure but I don't think the main riff is from another Zelda game, but I may be wrong
The closest think I can remember is Tetra's pirate ship. The similarity is near the tail end of the song ua-cam.com/video/KnJiC8FeI2I/v-deo.html
Came back here after Totk Trailer, I wonder what does tarrey town look like in totk, it is quite far from ganon afterall
Would be interesting~
Would love to see it for whatever reason a full future city with skyscrapers lol
I hope it has expanded out the front gate into the woods a bit. There's no way such a small area would be able to accommodate population increases for long. There should be a full-sized village taking up the whole middle section of Akkala.
