- Found a new spot, had it all to myself and it managed to be somewhat productive.

We are new to the Ocala area , so I’m learning the fishing grounds around Yankee town, Crystal River and such.
Found Tarpon & Snook in the barge canal, but it’s been slow as I’m learning the new fishing grounds.
I got a good pulse on CR but YT is a different ball game. The fun part about fishing (for me), is the unknown, it’s what keeps me going. Even the bad trips, make me want to go again…so I can learn more. You fishing out of a kayak or boat?

Getting larger size snook to bite is hard. Catching them is twice as hard. Doing it in a kayak is harder still. My kayak catch rate on snook over 28" is very very low. But I use light tackle so that's obviously a big reason. Seldom get broke off, usually they jump off or just unhook themselves. Enjoyed , thanks and glad you finally got one.
So hard to get the big ones if I'm in deeper water, near structure and I can't use my stakeout pole. The harder I pull, the faster I get sucked towards the fish....it's almost a no win situation 🤬. All I can do is keep trying. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 👊
