Just found you, and so glad I did. You are indeed very clear with your instructions! I have a beautiful blue velvet yarn I want to use to make this beanie, though I'm not big on pompoms. Hopefully it will still have a finished look without it. Thank you so much for your video!
I tried this with my left over velvet yarns, was not sure how would it come out… to my surprise it came out so well. I did not sew it, instead i slip stitched two sides- slip stitched thru both loops of one side and inner or front loop of the other side I‘m gonna buy new velvet yarn and start new cap for me, may be with 32 stitches instead of 34 stitches . Your instructions are perfectly clear. Thank you!
I'm thinking of trying this with a different brand of velvet yarn I have but I'm not sure the skein is big enough. About how much yarn does it take for the adult women's size?
I try to slow down with this yarn and that helps with the loose looking stitches. Also leaving extra long tails to weave in because it likes to shed pretty badly! Or use a tiny bit of fabric glue on the ends after weaving in and cutting off excess. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Using this same yarn and my other scarf pattern you could make a matching set: How to Crochet a scarf | beginner friendly crochet,How to change color ua-cam.com/video/2pX-YbWxdUk/v-deo.html I don’t have mittens or gloves yet but would love to try to make some! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Hey im thinking of making a balaclava with velvet yarn like that and im kinda worried it might shed and there would be some fizz on my head lol any advices?😅
I would find a really large skein of yarn so you have as few ends as possible. Then you could also use a very small amount of fabric glue on the ends after you weave them in. This would help with shedding. In my experience with plush yarns it’s more of an issue on the ends.
Jonna, your instructions are always so clear and easy to follow. Thank you. I can't wait to get started on this beautiful beanie.

How many grams/ yards do you use
The instructions are amazing! But when we have to make 20/40 rows do we repeat the step like u just showed us again and again?
Yes! Just play that row over and over again. Thanks for watching!

🌟🌟Thank you so much Heidi ❤️❤️
Thank you! This is the exact video I needed. How did you work with this yarn? I find this it leaves loose loops.

I have a smaller head so I’m thinking this would be too big for me so what size hook do u suggest I use with a small head?
I would make the same chain, but then measure your head. Make the hat 1 inch smaller than your head circumference.
Thank you for watching!
@@JonnaMartinezCrochet ok thanks
How many chain needed for 3- 4 years baby?
