One of my favorite bands back then. I would go see them play almost every weekend somewhere here in Northeast Ohio. Sadly, Dennis passed away in 2014.
Oh my gosh I so remember seeing these guys at The Tomorrow Club in Youngstown but mostly at the Wedgewood Plaza at a place called The Grist Mill. As a teen I worked at the nearby Clark gas station (full service! Gas was 53.9 cents a gallon and cigarettes were 55cents a pack!) on Raccoon road in the late 70s and would often work Friday or Saturday nights....on my bicycle ride home I would take a shortcut through the Wedgewood Plaza parking lot and if Left End was playing there a stop would definitely be made! Got home late many many nights thanks to these guys!! Anybody out there have a time machine????
Yes whatever the Ohio new yorp dolls equivalent before 75. Kiss-paint kid makes good on! His vocals presage a lot of stuff. Stop stop is Every Little Thing from Yes/Beatles, fellaz blast on
just the decadent cover was enough to get me to listen.
super powerful rock!!!
All I know is when I was in 10th grade I could dance like mad man. At a school dance I had the honor of dancing with CINDY MAZZEI who was a senior and the most beautiful girl I had ever seen in my life!! Thanks Left End!!!God Bless You Cindy!!!
Yes queen date, cry fellaz cry
Left End was a must see band no matter where they played. I remember making the drive to Youngstown to see them. You never knew what the hell was going to happen when you saw them. But the night was assured to go from crazy to crazier. Found this on CD after owning it on LP since 1974. Left End was a great must see band.
Fuck yeah esp with nostalgia would be hella must see. Dennis T Menace front man hell yeah
I love all of this old rock and roll
I'm happy enough to have this record on vinyl :-)
One of the Greatest Live acts EVER. Crazy Stage Shows and even Got in a Fist Fight with the New York Dolls back stage once... LOL.
WOW
What gig was that they they got in fight with New York Dolls?
Wow! I'd Love to hear that story. Was that at the Allen Theater in CLE?
Great friends who gave me memories that will last a lifetime!
Geez, I see a bunch of comments saying they sound like The Who, Alice Cooper, this band or that band. I think they sound like Left End. Another really good band crapped on by management.
Exactly!
Lead singer Dennis t-Menace was said to have on occasion pick fights with the audience, from N.Ohio they rocked !!!
Oh it's round on the sides and high in the middle. Who in the hell is The Numbers Group, PERFECT link from early 70s to Devo, Evil Clowns lol. Dennis RULES!
Вырос на таком музоне...Так и не повзрослел.
SUPER LAйчищще!!!)))))
LMAO I worked with these guys! Even opened for them once!
Pretty darn good!!!
thank you for posting this
Nice nice
Love it :-)
Great stuff. i hear a bit of The WHO, Humble Pie, Thanks
yeah bit of Marriott and M des Barres of Silverhead
Ohio's answer to Aerosmith in 1974.
Killer hard rock band.
this is great stuff man!
Definitely not goin' by Aerosmith
Seen them at Idora Park!
singer sounds like Steve Marriot and Ralph Mormon, never knew this band or heard of them, man i lost out.
they were out of Youngstown Ohio
I could write a book on Left End!!! All I know is when I went to college for some beer knowledge someone stole my Left End Album and 45's I treasured my red vinyl 45!! Just for that I drank ten Xtra beers!!!
Their vocalist sounds
like Steve Marriott from
Humble Pie.
Toney T. Isaiah.
I've never heard that one
before. Toney T. Isaiah.
hell yes
Takin' Time is a burner!
NASTY rock biz, Left End YES!
Badass Proto metal pioneers. Along with sir lord baltimore.
naõ conhecia esta banda, gostei som de 1a....valeu brother....
Obrigada 1
👍👏✌
ФАЙНО, МОЄ ДИТИНСТВО.. МОЯ.. МУЗИК@"***)))
Actually, the vocals, especially on 3, and 6, in particular, remind me of Dan McCafferty of Nazareth
reunion show 2nite (3-11-23) at packard music hall in warren !!!!! got my tix. wouldn't miss it for the world.
How was it?
@@richardsullivan3376 FANTASTIC!!!!!!! two sets of mostly original and a couple covers. the singer was as close to dennis t as one could get but missed on dennis "attitude" but no one could ever copy his mannerisms and showmanship. hope they have more shows scheduled
@@carllange3432reunion gigs in 2023? Left End in people's entire faces
The Whomble Pie!
They remind me of Slade
but without the virtuosity.....
Sounds like Alice Cooper on vocals backed by The Who
bien vu c'est ça !
Dennis was actually buddies with mr cooper so it makes sense
cool observation. I for sure picked out the Alice Cooper, but needed an extra listen to find The Who. You are correct sir.
Kind of like Tucky Buzzard
Hell ya I can hear the influence of Tucky Buzzard the U.K. Early 70's Hard rock band on Purple Records (Deep Purple's own record label) who were fkn amazing!!
I also hear Steve Marriott circa Humble Pie, and Michael Des Barres circa Silverhead & Detective!!
Too bad "Sunshine Girl" wasn't on the album. Sales woulda went through the roof.
Ohio rocks hard !!!!
8 It's a great album if you like screaming as vocals.😂
Gee, think these guys were Who fans?
The Coop,maybe....for the life of me,. I hear no resemblance what so ever of The Who.
