- Here we are again with another musical montage from the Severn Valley Railway 1940s Weekends, shot on Saturday 29th June and Saturday 6th July.
I like the Glenn miller in the mood music playing to mark this event
I´ve had the pleasure of taking part in the event on 6th and 7th July this year , It was unforgettable indeed
what an awesome set of captures. excellent presentation.
Thank you very much, I appreciate your comment.
wow its back to the darkest days of the second world war again keith
Wonderfully shot and edited, a really enjoyable watch which captures the event and era so well.
Thank you very much for your comment. We always like to attend this wonderful event and a montage video is the best way to cover it. For once it's more about the people than the trains.
I attend this event too and I was meant to get the fly over by one of the raf planes but unfortunately David the aircraft I was due to see didn't happen
Fantastic video Martyn. Superbly done with the appropriate music. Throughly enjoyable watching. Kind regards C&A
Thank you C&A. We always enjoy this event where we're able to produce a different type of video for you to enjoy.
If someone in 40's had an accident and went into a coma, then woke up at the 1940's weekend, they'd think they had only been asleep for a few mins.
Always loved the Brits.
lmao the guy at 0:12 looks too young, is he even allowed to work there?
LMAO true it looks like puberty skipped this guy
@@Richard-ej3qx Innit?
@@vincling8130 the guy at 0:12 really resembles the beauty of the Kidderminster youth
And great music
I wonder if they allow people dressed in SS uniforms.
Now that's how to do it Martyn, a stunning piece of work...Thanks...Bob
Thanks Bob. We gathered 3 hrs 58 mins worth of footage to produce 4 mins of quality shots. We always enjoy making montage videos and are glad you liked it.
What a handsome train conductor at 0:12
Looks like a fine youth ;)
Jolly Good Show Mates. Just loved your Work. More I say. thank You.
👍🏻
Cheers Man. I hope you are well?
Brilliant fun film. Could’ve been sometime between 1944 pre-D Day and the summer of ‘45 just after the war in Europe ended. Excellent stuff.
Thank you for your kind comments Barry, it's much appreciated. I know a Barry Cracknell. He's a star of stage and screen. That wouldn't be you would it?
@@1Z64 I don’t like to talk about it as I’m just on here as a follower of your marvellous channel. But thank you for asking.
They do put a good war weekend bash really enjoyed my times there
Do they follow a program for each day? Or is it a 'pick your own activity' type of event? What other things go on there; I can see train rides, dancing, and of course fabulously dressed people. I would love to attend one of these
Beautiful
Thank you very much.
