Hey Graxy I have a question: If I pick the sub skill to have twisters explode or twisters to bleed, do modifiers like explosion and physical apply to them respectively then? Also if the Earth Totem gets grasping vines is are they scaled by picking grasping vines ability? I am a new player so I am still learning.
Good question! To answer both, no. The skills still respect their innate damage type. So, for Twisters this is Arcane. The bleed applied will just be an arcane damage over time based on the damage of Twister. In no way can you scale this bleed through physical damage. These same rules apply to explosions. However, bleed is special because you have affixes on gear like "extra damage to bleeding monsters." This does work. As well as any skill that has this in it's sub-skill tree would be affected. Does all that make sense?
Also, any skill that states it uses another skill as part of its attack is not using the ability as if YOU are using it. The ability has it's own damage scaling. So for Earth Totem, you can see the damage of the vines is earth totems damage multiplied by an increased damage percent.
