He used the dog to force compliance. He ordered his colleagues to back away first, implying that he intended to set the dog on him. Therefore, he used the dog as a method of torture to force compliance.

Dan Fox is a dangerous man and unprofessional individual. There were several constables there and holding the man down. If they haven't got the skills to deal with one man. Then they are not fit for purpose.
The dog isn't at fault. He just has a power hungry handler.

When I was a teenager, I was on the way home from a nightclub and crossed a dark foggy public sports ground. An Alsatian suddenly grabbed my arm and started tearing into me. It was going nuts at me. it tore my parka to pieces and my trousers as it bit me all over my arms and legs and at one point had me by the back of the neck. I had no choice but to grab the dog by the windpipe and squeazed and shook it as hard as I could, yeah I was going to kill it. Then two coppers arrived and started kicking the crap out of me, one dragged me off the ground and head butted me. The upshot was that i was beaten up while handcuffed to a fence, then head butted again while being put in a van, then put in a freezing cell for 2 days (over the weekend), I was hardly fed (one cheese sandwich and two cups of tea), I was given no ,medical attention and every single female cop in that station hissed at me. I was in court Monday morning and stood there with torn blood stained clothes, two black eyes and lumps of hair missing. I was fined £200 quid and bound over for 12 months for assaulting police staff (the dog). I was so scared i kept my head down for years. Not now though, I hate coppers. Apparently, someone had tried breaking into a school (4 miles away) and they thought it was me. Personally, I think they were walking the dog and lost it in the fog. I was completely innocent.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour by the police dog handler. The other officers were dealing with it. So no need for a dog to be involved and the officer was just being a jerk

What that clip says to me is that the THREE policewomen were utterly failing to control ONE man and that the dog handler knew his dog could bring the struggle to a swift close.
The trouble does not lie with the use of the dog but with the fact that women are no match for men physically.

Exactly! Pigtail incompetence and ineffectiveness is the real story. And we're the ones who pay for it.

There was no need for him to do that with the dog.the man was already detained.the fella should press charges against the police.this is why people don't respect the police.just a little bit of authority goes to the head and they think they can treat us like shit and get away with it

The dog did his job tbf, don’t think anyone has issues with the dog - it’s issues with the use of the dog as a weapon in that scenario
No different to a firearms officer shooting someone - it’s not the weapons fault, it’s be the officer under scrutiny
