Lovely fruit trees! Planting fruit and nut trees should be the number one task for new homesteaders and you've done a great job!

Aww thank you!! I've got a few more nut trees ordered because 2 of the ones we planted in our first year didn't make it. I feel like I've learned a lot about this land and keeping our trees alive since then :)

Hello. I have found sea berry to be extremely easy to start from seed. It will take longer to get flowers, but it's definitely cheaper than getting bareroot plants.

Thanks so much for sharing that! I've got a few plants that are finally taking off, so I'm happy about that. But I will definitely keep the seed idea in mind for future plantings!

❤ The honey locust take a while to get going, but when the seed pods finally start they make a great fodder. The black locust are toxic, sadly.
I may have missed the Juliet cherry, for the Romio, but I think you need one of each to get fruit.
    Get video. ❤

Yay thanks for letting me know about the honey locust, it's a matter of patience isn't it?! And yes, I know the black locust will be used for wood most likely, and right now they just make me happy because they grow so well!
You're totally right - we got a Romeo but no Juliet, so I need to get on that! :) Thanks for watching and commenting Sarah!

@@waykeeperfarmandnerdery I'm looking forward to seeing a summer shot of your orchard. Here's hoping we each get some beautiful growth this season. ✨️

Why dont you grow willow and or mulbery ? The sheep love that tree and its grows pretty quickly. Adding some willow and mulberry is great treats for the sheep.

We do have both of these planted now as well! Originally we went with fruit trees, but we've now incorporated willow and mulberry in many more spots!
