Excellent video! I did this job last weekend on my C1 and saved a load of time because of the tips with the ABS sensor (which was seized on my car as well) as well as cutting the inner race with the angle grinder to get it off. Thanks for sharing!
Very good video footage and editing work. I have removed the hub on a 107 today and have to say this press tutorial is very helpfull 👍🏻 thanks a lot for making this awsome content
Brilliant video, very informative. Everything was going to plan until it came to the circlip which looks to be rusted in, any suggestions to free it off please? Had it swimming in penetrating fluid and trying to free it from the groove with hammer and chisel. Thanks
Great step by step tutorial I may have a go at changing my own,!! What size diameter was the pipe cutting Where can I buy one that you used in the video I can’t seem to source one
Hi Just cleared my service light on my citroen nemo... Fantastic... Can you tell me the procedure of stopping my odometer from flashing... Do I need a diagnostic to clear that.. Many thanks. Just joined your website...
thanks for the comment & subscribe :) now that you've done the service reset it may stop flashing in a day or 2.. they have 2 resets.. one to reset the service message & another to reset the oil quality. if it doesn't clear in a few days the other reset may need to be done on a diagnostic machine :)
Thanks for the video! Our C1 makes a horrendous noise when doing over 50mph in a straight line or turning left slightly, but when turning right it’s fine! I assume it’s probably the wheel bearing in one of the wheels?
Thanks for the comment , much appreciated 😁.. yea thats typical symptoms of a front wheel bearing.. best way to find out which side it is would be to Jack each side up and give the wheel a quick spin.. you should be able to hear the difference.. they reason the noise alters when turning is you put extra load on 1 side and relax the other so it can alter the tone 👍
@@diydaly thank you so much for taking the time to reply! Really helpful for someone like me (and my girlfriend!) who are generally clueless with cars 😂! Either way think we need to get it booked in to a garage to be diagnosed and repaired. Just worried we’ll get ripped off (again). Any idea on a rough ballpark estimate a garage should be charging for a bearing replacement?
Glad to help 👍, hope you get it sorted ok.. as a rough guide I’d say most garages would charge 1 - 1.5 hours labour max plus the bearing which may range from £20 - £40 depending on quality .. An average price at a garage would be between £90 and £120 Area.. the main dealer would be more expensive.. I’d recommended finding a reputable independent 👌
yes described that wrong in video, ive got the correct setting in the description.. just edited it out but will take a while to register 👍 thanks for informing me
there's a good chance you've damaged to abs ring on the back of the bearing.. check the magnetic ring from the back see if you can see any cranks in it
The best wheel bearing replacement video on UA-cam. Well done and thank you.
Thanks 😃
What a great tutorial, logical step by step guidance with valuable tips on how to get the job done 👍🏻
Thanks for the comments Brian , much appreciated as a small YT channel 👍

One of best car repair videos
Keep making them for my 107 !

You should support the brake calliper as you are straining the brake pipe.
thanks a lot mate!!! I couldnt do it without your tutorial! very helpful brother!
You're welcome!
Wow such a awsome instruction video. The best I hve seen an exactly what I needed now :) Thank you so very much
Great Job! Where did you order the large metal tube you used during pressing? and what is the diameter?
To get the hub off the shock, use a thin chisel to widen the slot at the back as per official Toyota manual. No hammer needed.
thanks

Had it swimming in penetrating fluid and trying to free it from the groove with hammer and chisel. Thanks
Haha yeah they can be a pain , sharp pointy chisel and hammer is best ..

hi would this be the same as my 2015 citroen c1? great video 👍
Pretty much the same
Do you have to remove the hub to press the bearing out? Wondering if possible to use puller/presser kit with hub still on the car?
Yeah I’m afraid so mate
Thanks for the video!

Hi. How long will take the procedure? Thanks!🎉
1.5-2 hours for diyer
coulda hanged up the caliper with a hook and not let it hang by the break line..
How much did that cost parts and labour ? How much should you expect to pay for that please ?
most garages would charge 1 - 1.5 hours labour + the part .. id say the average cost would be around the £100 area at most garages
Are you sure it is only 50nm on thr hub nut? I read 216nm elsewhere
yes described that wrong in video, ive got the correct setting in the description.. just edited it out but will take a while to register 👍 thanks for informing me
Brilliant video, well done
👍

It's nice that you listed the torque specs, but you're too lazy to use a torque wrench.
My wheel bearing has now come dangerous lmao
