Love and acceptance turned to hatred and vindictiveness. I had to move on in order to survive, but there has forever since been a hole in my being, soul, and heart that has never been filled. I've visited Tokyo and that corner several times over the years since, but always go to different places or take a slightly altered route as there are just too many ghosts of memory along the paths I used to take. Memories are everywhere in Tokyo. Memories of once happy times that were destroyed in an instant. Memories that are forever refusing to fade into the mists of time and forgetfulness. They still feel like yesterday all these years later.

So would I. People who have been to Tokyo have said that it's amazing how the city has managed to successfully blend its traditional Japanese past with modern influences from the west. A prime example of this would be the Tsukiji Fish Market. Here; merchants and fishermen are busy trading the latest catch of the day, just as they have been doing for centuries. It's one of the city's many time-honored traditions that peacefully coexists alongside modern technology; an example of this peaceful coexistence would be the merchants slicing huge hunks of fish with free-standing electric knives.

Thanks so much. I have to tell you - a lot of time and effort went into it over years of touching it and then not touching it. I filmed my trips to the spot for 9 years - different angles, concepts, viewpoints and never knew what to do with all the footage. All the clips just sat on different hard drives. And then I heard a single piece of music about four years later and said to myself - "Wow....a quick collection of several angles all within a single minute to that music would be great." Then, I sent the music clip to an audio-engineer friend of mine and he duplicated the tone of it, changed a few things to make it his own original sound. One year after that, I uploaded it to UA-cam. 6 years later, it has nearly 1,000,000 views. Crazy how things happen, huh?

The Shibuya pedestrian crossing is basically Tokyo's answer to Times Square in New York City or Dundas Square in Toronto. I am more inclined to agree with both claims because the Shibuya pedestrian crossing in Tokyo and Times Square in New York are both big, bustling, and brightly lit up at night. However, I have yet to see what Dundas Square in Toronto looks like. I went on a trip to Canada last summer with my sister's family and we stayed in Toronto but we didn't get to go to Dundas Square.

Michael, the amazing thing about this crosswalk is that you can stand there for hours and continue to see the enormous 'exodus' of people constantly crossing...even at 4 am. It's astonishing.

@@carlrosa1130 I agree. I wasn't insulting the Shibuya crossing or saying that Times Square is better nor did I say that New York City is better than Tokyo. Just a slight clarification on the matter.

Thanks for the comment, Kai! Actually it was a piece of music that Mr. Ernest Robinson created for me. I came up with the general idea and he took it from there and made it himself for me. The man is gooood! :)
