If you are working on VPS then it will be store in VPS I mean whats the point of storing your data on your local machine and hosting website on remote machine. Its like I kicked out my wife outside and closed the door then i am trying to hold her hand.
production app ke liye MongoDB vps me install karke chalana sahi hoga ya Cloud wala option hi sahi hota hai. aur agar cloud best hai to 512mb wala free plan me kya expect kar sakte hai.
That totally depends on you and your project. When your project will scale 512 MB enough storage ? It is shared so are you ok with shared ? I usually use own MongoDB Setup it cuts down Deployment cost

Aur ek sawal: 10000 user handle karne ke liye vps ka kya specs hona chahiye, jisme me mongoDB bhi install kar saku. And it is only for api bcoz im building a react native mobile app
