Lovely video, buddy! That beautiful footage and that tune, yeah, it's like magic! Oh, man, I watched it 4 times already... The car actually looks like it handles alright, definitely jumps nicely! Bit of a bummer with the body posts bending back and forward, you could add a couple horizontal ones to tighten it up a bit, I did that on my G6-01, it helped a bit... Like I said, beautiful video, I'd be dumb to not watch it a fifth time also...
Haha, thanks Mads! It was such a fun truck to film, because it loved the camera! Every time I pull the trigger, it just comes alive. Thanks for watching (5 times) pal! 😆👊🏼🍻
That opener was great what a nice launch. Think I will have to keep an eye out for this in Malaysia or may take a trip to Singapore and go to STARGEK Tamiya store its massive and sure to have one there.
glad to see that no "Willies" were harmed in the making of that particular video..i must say that you got that suspension working great the way it handled the jumps. how was that motor to your liking? seemed pretty good in my own opinion. think the body shakes a little bit too much on the slow motion replay, but, great build and another great vid! cheers and see you in the next one!
Hahaha, gotta protect your Willy! 😆 -- The SS TZ on 2S was perfect. It does run hot, so if you're gonna go this route, be sure to add bearings to your motor. But overall, I'm very happy with how it performed. 😊
@@poorboysrc i just went under a hernia operation 2 weeks ago in the groin area so if i need to "free willy" i most certanly will do that! glad to see that your motor of choice worked out and ya, maybe in the hotter weather a different one would be better. time will tell. speak soon friend and cheers.
Nice, its looks like it jumps well. Ive resisted buying one so far. But then i see this and think of all the fun i could have 😁 but all my rc tokens have been spent for this month, and next month 😭
It really does jump nicely! The all gear driveline puts the power down very aggressively, so it drives a lot like a real monster truck. Keep storing away RC tokens and maybe it'll be a good early 2024 buy. 🤗🍻👊🏼
Wow that was surprising!!! Did you make those jumps? You made that look like an xmaxx. If I get a Tamiya it would have to be a poor boy speed challenge one lol
The TZ on 2S was perfect! The truck had gobs of power, as you saw. The drive train works really well, with plenty of power going to all 4 tires, but the motor does get hot after 15 minutes of hard passes. I didn't upgrade the TZ to bearings, which would have certainly helped a lot. I can see a nice brushless system being a good call in this truck. Overall, the SV is a winner. It's the 4WD, 1/10 scale Midnight Pumpkin I've wanted since I was a kid. But that aside, it handles itself confidently on the rough stuff, and looks awesome doing it. 4WS would be waaay too much steering, so while its a cool thought, it's not the best suited for this chassis. 👊🏼

Ah, it's so great to rip around with. It's top-heavy, so she likes to tip over, but with the long wheelbase, it's surprisingly stable at speed. 💨💨💨👊🏼
Great video. Love that it’s a kit with clear body! I have plans for that one!
Thanks, brother! There's a ton of cool paint ideas one can dive into with this body! 😁👊🏼
@@poorboysrc Have you ever heard of the old skool monster truck called Old Red? This is perfect for that.
@@jeffmackovitch9987 Never heard of "old red" but I just googled it, and yeah man, you're bang-on! What a funny looking truck, that short wheelbase must've made it impossible to handle, lol!
@@poorboysrc Jeffrey Fielding runs it too this day. Usually shows up at Bigfoot open house event.
@@jeffmackovitch9987 No way, that's very interesting. It looks very old-skool.
Yeahhhhh!!!
🤟🤟🤟 - Thanks for watching!
Ah, I'd love to check out that shop! Prepare your wallet for the upcoming pain it's gonna go through! 😆
Looks really good cruz in down the beach those shocks don’t half launch it into the air off that jump
Thanks pal. Yeah the shocks are on the stiff side, which makes for some great launches! 💨💨💨
glad to see that no "Willies" were harmed in the making of that particular video..i must say that you got that suspension working great the way it handled the jumps. how was that motor to your liking? seemed pretty good in my own opinion. think the body shakes a little bit too much on the slow motion replay, but, great build and another great vid! cheers and see you in the next one!
Epic!
Thanks, fellas! Glad you like the vid. 🍻👊🏼
It seems that the ARRMA Gorgon made a good impact on Tamiya😅 ,I hope Tamiya add more different Body shells.
Haha, totally! It seems that panel vans are the hot ticket in late '23! 😆
Wow that was surprising!!!
Did you make those jumps?
You made that look like an xmaxx.
If I get a Tamiya it would have to be a poor boy speed challenge one lol
Thanks, dude! Yeah, I made each jump, so there would be a good variety to showcase the Von Squash's capabilities. 👊🏼🌴
Amazing footage 👏 looks great. What did you think of the TZ motor? And what do you think about the car, of course 🙂 is it worth its price tag?
If you didn't hurt your willy, are you even playing with it? 😅😅😂
Hahaha! I like how you think, Joe! 🤣🤣😉👊🏼
Dude. I'm getting one.
My man!!! If there was ever a doubt, I guess this video pushed you over the edge, hey? Hahaha! 🤣👊🏼🍻
Yes indeed! Damn it looks so cool :) And the build itself looks really intriguing@@poorboysrc
@@Heizekel77 It's an interesting build, as the chassis and gearbox are all the same thing. It goes together pretty quick! I think the body took longer than the chassis, lol!
@@poorboysrc Damn. It's not been released yet where I live so I comfort bought the Super Clod Buster kit while waiting. Need something to build during xmas 🤣🤣
@@Heizekel77 nicely played, sir! When there's no Squash inspired rigs available, get the rig that'll squash a squash! Hahaha! 😆👊🏼🍻

That's a beautiful kit Fil! You killed it! Full SEND Much!! Lol
@TamiyaUSAOfficial
Take notice boys.
Thanks, brother! Yeah we sent the SV full tilt, my man! No holding back, we had to make it look amazing on TV! What a fun truck! 🍻😁👊🏼
@@poorboysrc I think you have the entire planet wanting one under the tree this year.
@@Paul__FC does that make me a bad influence? Hahaha! 👊🏼🍻
Salt water and sand don't mix with r/c.
You're right about that. But I'll do anything for an epic shot, lol! 😉👊🏼
@@poorboysrc remember to wash it better with fresh water to clean away the salt and regrease everything.
@@msrx08 all over it, brother. I won't let her rust up on us. She's had a good cleaning and WD40 bath. Ready to rock again! 😁👌🍻
@@poorboysrc mmhhh... WD40, no way, it ruins plastics and rubber. Use another product.
