    Wow the tow truck at 14:20 didn't have any traction on it's front wheels! Even when it gets to bare pavement you can see it slipping! Great video!

      It was kind of back heavy though (to say it slightly understated).
      The front wheels barely touched the ground.

      Yes it was not just kinda, but very back heavy and I don't know the wheel drive system of it, but it was 100% not only front wheel drive xD

      That driver is an idiot. That wrecker is a serious danger on the road, they were certainly aware of that and decided it was time to 'chance' it and drive it amongst traffic.

      @@JeremyMilligan1024it could be just to get it out of the way of the snow removal equipment. When you have potentially dozens of different operators, millions of dollars of equipment idling and lineups of dump trucks. They will be on that guys case to get that truck out of the way of the equipment. Hopefully he adjusted the load before continuing much further. I wonder if it’s because he didn’t want to disconnect the drive shaft so he could haul it from the front of the truck.

    I wish it would snow like that where I live. We used to get a few decent snow storms every year but in the past few it has hardly snowed at all.

      Looked to me like he could have had the thing about 10-12 inches closer and still had clearance. Dunno if that would have put weight back on his steers or not.

    8:00 Moving snow around like that is something that Sherbrooke generally does not bother to do. Instead, Sherbrooke does 2 passes with plows after storms. The second pass leaves the snow pile in just the right place for snowblowing operations.

    Drain covers and service covers must be well fitted and flush or countersunk. If they ran a grader over any UK road they'd be collecting metal covers and tar patches.

    I never see the crews salt the roads. Is that a government ordinance to not salt the roads after snow removal?

      But salt work well between 0°C to -15°C. They do add more gravel on the side walk for the grip.

      Dunno about Montreal, but cities like Edmonton dump in an area on the outskirts of town. There're photos of the pile from years past and they can get pretty big.

      The biggest snow dump site in montreal is in saint michel its an old quarry. I dont know about the other ones.

      It gets dumped in the Saint Lawrence River I believe or somewhere near it and then melts into the river.

    Are they going to come out with an electric version of this machine? Maybe if they did they won't have to truck the snow away, just wait for the burning battery packs to melt the snow.

      @@sferg9582 batteries become better and better. we need to do more research in this area. there are some vehicles like a tractor or a excavator which are powered by batteries. sure they can't work over many hours but a clever plug and play system would be a good opportunity for the use of battery powered vehicles. similar to cordless power tools. a electric motor is also much stronger than a combustion engine.

      Diesel is more reliable although can be difficult and Smokey in the mornings unless you plug them into heaters lasts for ever and the engine won’t get fried like an electric one

      This is sand and salt, but how you can see the salt. Its normal trust me

      @ …you don’t see the salt but you see the running water. I used to drive a sander so that’s how I know. Salt is white, sand is brown But they also have what the call a “Hot Mix” which is sand and salt mixed together. Any metropolitan area don’t want trip or fall lawsuits so it’s written in that whoever’s putting down the product they want to see “running water”.

    People that tow truck hauling a sand truck isn't too heavy the had wheel lift out to far and wasn't balanced forward properly and I was a tow truck driver and family member own a towing company and b towing company Portland Oregon and repo's fun job and perfectly legal license bonded insurance .. be smarter not working hard so keep your vehicle taged and running a moving capable at all times! And away from city hall building or police department criminal with badges gang corrupt police departments Oregon State has to offer it's people here!
