Henry's VA is Tom McKay and he is a really nice guy, and it's so funny that they made his face model so accurate to his actual appearance because he is literally now basically Henry in live action. Same with Luke Dale, the VA/face model for Sir Hans Capon.
Tom McKay is one of the sweetest most amazing people I´ve ever met! He is not just a face and voice of Henry. He gives him so much more. :)

Tom McKay is absolutely brilliant and I was nearly in tears watching rhe reveal yesterday, Was #44 on their kickstarter campaign back in the early days of KCD, and super proud of that fact. What a game it was and I am super stoked for KCD 2.

The lighting is noticeably better and the colours are more vibrant, but I’m curious to see how the gameplay is improved. The combat and exploration was already pretty good.

Kingdom Come is a gem of a game and really puts other games to shame, in an era where games are rushed and incomplete at release, Kingdom Come showed us that it's still possible to make great and complete games on a modern engine.
The only thing that could make it better is having a modding scene like Bethesda games for Kingdom Come.
I hope they have Pebbles for you again since you loved Pebbles. Capon was modeled after Luke Dale, Hanush was modeled (slightly - just his head and they made him a LITTLE younger) after Dan Vavra.
This looks really fantastic, Gopher, and I am very much looking forward to seeing you play it.
In the meantime, I also hope that we will get to see you play Horizon: Forbidden West, so that you can complete Aloy's story and find out what happens next.

The way they marketed the first was there would be massive battles and that was not the case. Hopefully they do massive battles.

They specifically mentioned in the game reveal video that this game would feature many of the things they wanted for the first game but didn’t have the resources to pull off at the time.
I hope that gunpowder is such a new concept, that those two guards just stand there discussing "What do you think it is? Some weird candle? Black magic maybe?"
I'm guessing they will have the decision you made as a imported feature and the combat skills at a baseline, only to improve them further.
They kept this under wraps pretty well although quite a lot of info was there if you dug for it. I'd almost forgotten about it tbh. Kuttenburg is the focal point and no doubt we are going to see some insanely good urban settings to historical accuracy and scale.
The voice actor for Henry. His name is Bob. Yeah that's it, Bob will do.
I think we will be give point for perk selection in the beginning so we can choose what we good at not completely noob from the start

Maybe this Henry canonically did a merciful run and the only person he killed was Runt. 👀
I assume you're going to start with the combo system, master stroke system, and perfect block system etc already unlocked but no perks. (as opposed to the first game when you can't even unlock that for about three hours) So if you got good at combat in the first game you'll technically be able to be about as good but still have RPG progression for video games reasons.

German games magazine GameStar released a good (spoiler free) video that includes some interesting technical information. The automatic UA-cam subtitles are pretty well translated, though that AI seems to struggle with english words within the german voiceover. (The names of the developer and the games are never written the same way twice and "stealth" is translated as "death" once)

I worry for this game since certain "Urinalist" outlets have been claiming that KC:D2 is going to be a bastion of "diversity".
They better stick to their guns like last time and keep everything HISTORICALLY accurate, it's what drew me in in the first place.
Not sure how major a city Kuttenberg was at that period, but it might have more foreign visitors than the region in the first game. But honestly I am not sure about the history of 'Kuttenberg' at all.

They can start me from scratch if they get rid of that damn combo system. I've done in excess of 5 playthroughs (a few dozen partials) and I have never once managed a successful combo. Ever.

I feel like Kingdom Come: Deliverance should be the base game system being used for Skywind instead of Skyrim. Morrowiverance, or something. They're from different series and developers, sure, but the progression system in Kingdom Come does exactly what the Morrowind progression system wanted to do but lacked the tech for.
In Morrowind, it's largely the same. No matter how good you are as a player, your character sucks at stuff, and so you will fail to cast spells, you'll miss with your weapon attacks, you'll hardly ever raise your shield to block in time, etc. Lots of people, including myself, are nostalgic for Morrowind. But also a lot of people, including myself again, will say that system is awful. Kingdom Come accomplishes what they were going for in a way that feels WAY better to the player - still frustrating to suck at something early on, but with much more satisfying to notice your improvement beyond a simple hit/miss chance. Early on, you almost 'get used' to sucking at everything, and then you as a player grow with your character, and you feel like you're the one learning new things.
Just something I thought of, while watching this video. Thanks for posting this, as I hadn't heard of it yet Gopher. (:
To clarify, I'm definitely not suggesting Skywind be scrapped - I'm VERY much looking forward to that. I was just making some comparisons between the two progression systems and what they wanted to accomplish, as far as a player experience goes.

I really dislike this mechanics as I want to save wgenever i want and need to. I can't leave my PC running until I have time to get back to it
i just hope they refine the gameplay for 2, because it was a convoluted mess in 1, especially on controller.

@@dominika3762 It was pretty great in my opinion. However is was a bit of a mess when enemies ran around you, making the camera spin round in turn. And the dogs, don't get me started on the dogs.
But all in all, still my top 3 games of all time.
@@dominika3762 The controls were completely wrong and nonsensical on controller.
They had sneak set to click in left stick, run on the B button and jump was on X
So everytime i d try to run away in game id crouch, everytime i tried to crouch id start running, and everytime i tried to sheath/unsheath my weapon or interact with something id jump.
Games like halo CE mastered the console control set up almost 25 years ago, but some games still struggle with it today.

I hate games made for consoles since they oftentimes don't let me save when I want. Come on, manual saves and quicksaves have been for ages...
And believe me it feels so strange like the mouse is floating

You put in all the time and effort allowing someone to rebind the keyboard and mouse controls, but you won't extend the feature to controllers?
Some games go so far as to not even give the option of alternate control schemes, or even edit the look sensitivity.
Your just stuck with whatever setting's the game comes with default.

One of the best things about a KCD game is it is nearly impossible to drench the game in rainbow vomit. Shut up and take my money!

There's a joy to be had for starting from nothing and building a character up to something.
Oh well, sure it will be good either way.

Well, they said that KDC 1 was about problems of local minor nobility, 2nd will be about problems of kings. Sure, we won´t be that totally useless peasant, but Henry is still just bastard of very minor noble, that still gives many opportunities (or rather need) to actually prove his worth, because everyone around him will be much above him on social hierarchy.

It's got a premade character that carries on from the first game. It's like the Witcher series, or Red Dead Redemption. You're playing the son of a blacksmith called Henry. Now in the first game there was a DLC where you got to play as one of the women (A Womens Lot), and I loved that. But she is one of the established characters that ties in with the main protagonists story.
Have you any problem with play for male character or what? I played female characters in videogames manytimes and its absolutely normal for me. So, where is problem?
@@GophersVids I watched some of your Kingdom come deliverance letsplay. The game looked AMAZING and more then something id be interested in. I do not play games without a female protagonist however. Getting the game just for the Dlc seemed silly. Same with the other games you mentioned. I even played the witcher 3... But Could not stand the main character. I hate seeing such amazing(one of a kind) games locked away from me. No doubt the masses find this notion impossible to understand, However ignorance Does not make it ok to exclude a playable female character.

Henry and Hans were modeled after their voice actors. Since theyre also their mocap actors.
And about the character build and skills, Henry and Hans will almost certainly be ambushed, wounded and maybe even imprisoned, that would explain why he looks older and chubbier since there will be a time lapse. And after he's released he will have to relearn his skills back, making it a perfect start for newcomers and older players.
I wonder if he will be able to read at the start
If Henry isn't hungry in the sequel, I'm gonna be disappointed beyond words.
And someone in Kuttenberg absolutely needs to say, "Henry's come to see us!"

@@Darumaster yeah, it's slated for late 2024, but there's been very little information, other than that video that was uploaded in February, from the current developers
Possibly also the next installment of Dragon Age as well, although the release date won't be announced until June. It's been rumoured to launch at the end of this year, at any rate.

And yeah, I was also surprised they modeled Henry after his English voice actor. I had always assumed he was modeled after his Czech VA considering the devs are Czech.
It couldn't be modeled after Czech VA since Czech dub was release just last year and is fan made (with blessing from Warhorse studios)

I really hope there's a save file transfer or at least you can choose your "background" when you start, because i always liked the idea of Henry marrying Theresa and i didn't see her in the trailer, but i saw that you can be a "lover". I just hope she's not completely ignored or written out. I liked her a lot.
seems like you get a dialog early on in kcd2 where you can state that Theresa is your sweetheart

I am definetly happy to see more ranged options and hoping they change some of the weapon systems. Cause I was sad to never try polearms since they were non-inventory items.
If Henry starts off on Pebbles I guess I'm not taking a dofferent horse two games in a row.

Devs not independent anymore, nice and cosy under Embrace group. Lower expectation to minimum. If won't F-up and deliver same or better will feels way better without all fake/PR induced hype.
KCD had by far the worst combat system ever in a game. But Gopher got on with it pretty well... So may have been my fault. So i hope for something better. And frankly: simpler. At least optional.
Also a fame/reputation system that is not blatantly cheating. It was also a damper on the heavily alleged "realism". As was the psychic dialog system If you literally see, which line you have to click to sucessfully convince someone, that is not realistic, that is a super power.
I really hope it's not just the same with a new story and area but has actual improvements and the time and budget a big (and finished) Open World RPG needs. The botched reputation system in 1 felt distinctively like a abandoned feature. Running out of money or time before even a simple line of sight, witness or communication system. You know a NPC actually CALL the guards, not them magically spawning at the door when the NPC gets angry. and actions out of sight being unseen... Something 1990's Morrowind and Gothic 1 managed... (Gothic 1 and 2 unsurpassed in realistic, believable NPC reactions!)
Oh yes and a better launch. KCD1 first months were a disaster!
I would not say it was your fault. It is a very 'unique' combat system, and even when you master the mechanics, you cannot let your guard down or get cocky. In some ways that makes it very realistic, but I can also see why it would also be just too damned annoying for a lot of people. It's very 'non standard'.

any word on if their will be a 3 person view option? If not, I may pass on the game.
I highly doubt it will have third person. Maybe there will be a mod that allows it, but I have no idea how the combat system would work in third person to be honest. It would be a lot easier in theory, but the controls would probably need overhauling. And that's assuming the body model actually has a head outside of cut-scenes and dialogue :)
Lets hope Deep Silver didn't ruin it too much. I hope I can import my save and keep my Golden Plate Armor and my amazing white Horse in amazing Horse-Armor.
Well I have 0 inside knowledge so this is pure speculations on my part, however the horse Henry was riding in the trailer has similar coloring and markings as Pebbles in KCD 1 and it's not something common so I would say it's him ?
I got into that game through watching you play it. I had to give myself a couple year break before playing it myself so it felt fresh! Great game, but I'm aware I played it after several updates as I remember it being a buggy launch!!
Their quote of being twice as big as the first hopefully doesn't mean they sacrifice on bugs / performance

From the czech interviews it seemed like you DO start at level 1 again, but perhaps that level 1 in this game is equal to level 10 in the first one.
