Today were installing Spec D Tail Lights on my Genesis Coupe!
They really make the back end of the car look much more aggressive and who doesn't love the sequential lights!

I don’t have a genesis I just saw some sick ass tail lights and had to watch!
Pro tip - it doesn't take much torque to make the studs come out of the light casing, and doing this too many times can do this too. Once the studs start coming loose and getting pulled out from the plastic, you'll have leaking issues. You can fix this by using JB weld to secure the studs to the tail light casing, and then you can make them as tight as needed to help avoid leaks.

I quess you will never read it again, but for thoose who watching. Trust me, it is so simple to install and they look as good as you think. Really 11/10 lights!

I have these exact tail lights and they are one of my favorite cosmetic mod for the car. It really makes the back way more aggressive.

Do a review, I'd be curious to see/know just how good the reverse lights actually are. I've been looking at the spec D all red ones with the chrome reverse on the bottom. Very Porsche Esq.

The anzo headlights are horrible. The bulbs are not bright at all and many people have fitment issues. If you are getting custome headlights go to NXTGlow

idk if u get rainy days where youre at but make sure to check the rubber seals against the holes where your wires go. i got some after market ones and my whole back seat floor was flooded shit sucked
Sick taillights for sure but one of my buddies has these on and told me the gaskets are terrible for these and water is always getting in so just be weary about that 😊

i love these lights. i had them on my bk1 but i gave them to my girlfriend as a gift. we went about a full year before we had condensation, it's pretty bad now though =(

I bought the same ones for my black bk2. I had to black silicone the gasket to the light and seal the gasket to the car itself just to stop the leaking

@@cenz5842 the gasket that comes with them are trash. Water will get into your trunk. Seal em or get ATQ tail light gaskets. 100% worth the price
Looking nice! I have the same color genny and I went with the black housing with red markers but I think I maybe made a mistake since these look real nice! Haha
Those are resistors, not relays. The car came with halogen bulbs in the rear, but your replacements are LED bulbs, so you have to trick the computer into thinking there are halogen bulbs in the back and they are not burnt out. That is what the resistors do. The computer expects a certain amount of current to flow through the taillights if they're working, but LEDs don't need much current, so the resistors act as an extra place for current to travel to increase the amount of current the computer sees is going to the taillights.

Question! Did you notice that when your hazards or turn signal is on, that when you apply the brakes nothing happens on the light with the flashers on?

Are the reverse lights very bright? Stuck between doing the tail as turn mod (your incandescent blinker is routed into your led tail lights and you are able to use your reverse light and the old turn signal slot as another reverse light) I would use double led reverse lights for better visibility or just completely changing tail lights. We all know these cars have terrible visibility backing up lol
The reverse lights are actually super bright, that clear strip at the bottom is a strip of like 11 leds and it lights up everything behind you, I'd definitely recommend them!

been watching lots of your videos they’re great bro! i’m looking at a genesis that is a 2016 “base genesis coupe” and i see you have an ultimate genny. any info that could help me choose between? very tough trying to find an ultimate out here in chicago lol
Glad your enjoying the videos! Thanks for supporting! Really the only main differences between the ultimate and base is that the base doesn't have the nav screen in the car and instead of having 19" inch wheels and brembos like the ultimate it has 18" wheels and no brembos, besides that its basically the same. Oh yea and the base doesn't have the wing. Yea man I know your struggle it took me months to find one that I really wanted!

I just used the ones that came with these lights, oem ones are probably better though and you can get those from any hyundai dealer

Mine get unbearably hot to the point I’m afraid it’s going to damage part of the harness. I have them rigged up to spyder led tails. Not sure if that makes a difference. If yours get hot/or if you figure out any solutions feel free to dm me @basicbk1.
