March 2019 I broke both my legs in a horrific car accident. I almost lost my life and the others almost did to. I was down with no way to walk. I layed in that hospital bed many nights alone . When Nipsey says he went threw EVERY EMOTION I FELT THAT!!!!!! I wanted to die. Why didn’t I die in that accident. I felt I was no good not worthy of life. Then a few days later I would find myself thanking God for not taking my life. I was happy I was sad I was grateful I was ungrateful I was angry I was questioning everything..... In the end all I have to say is God is good!!! After 11 months and countless physical therapy sessions I’m now starting to walk again and put my life back together. While in the hospital in that bed I saw who my real ones were and in grateful for them 💯💨 I’m a legal medical marijuana card holder and I’m about to smoke this MAC stain for myself and those who are going through or went through life changing events. DON’T KNOW WHO’S ROLLING WITH YOU UNTIL THE TIDE COMES IN!!!!💯💯 I FELT THAT

I think that if you could go back in time and speak to a teenage Nipsey about this topic, he may have had a different take on this subject given the nature of being knee deep in the gangbanging realm where oftentimes you’re taught to resolve perceived disrespect with violence and aggression without delay.
With the exception of slapping a security guard at the BET awards in 2018 Nipsey evolved from his childhood surroundings & mentality of dealing with disrespect with swift acts of violence.
Eric Holder is a prime example of someone who did not evolve however.
He’s someone that despite being in his late 20’s still operates like a juvenile delinquent, throwing an emotional fit at any level of perceived disrespect.
I feel like this record along with Higher (featuring John Legend) are both songs where Nip is reaching out to us from the afterlife with lasting message(s) & lessons that he wants us to take away from his once earthly existence.
