- The stock exhaust on a VT 750 has two small exit pipe holes. This exhaust mod removes the baffles and uses one exit hole! Enjoy the pure V twin engine sound!

Hey Mike, I'm heading out with the wife for a nice ride, I have a Shadow 1100 that I been thinking about pulling the baffles on and I think you just help make my mind up, there coming off as soon as we get home.
That's awesome bro but take in consideration it leans out the fuel mix and can cause some unwanted popping so some carb adjustments may be needed to help that out! Jetting/air fuel mix! Enjoy the ride my bro and be safe! If you look at the thumbnail you can see I replaced the end cap on the muffler so it's not completely open! It was two hole now it's a single! Intersections are the worst, ppl will look right at you and make a left turn right in front of you and turn their heads the other way daily! At the very least 5 ppl will try to take you out everytime you ride! Along with all the other road hazards out there, dogs, pot holes, debris in the road ect, it can be very stressful so to say... But it is also very awesome to feel the wind and the rush of acceleration and adrenaline you feel when you twist the throttle! Don't let it be the bucket in your bucket list! Lol! Hey Mike, this bike has to be one of the best sounding shadows I've heard, even with aftermarket exhausts. Was it just as simple as you stated that you removed all the baffles inside and put and end cap on it? I'd love to see any other pictures that show whats been done. Trying to find an exhaust that's new(and over 1000 bucks) or not roughed up is hard right now.
Thank you. The part of making the two end caps was easy, removing the inner baffles is not so easy and is very ugly inside because to remove them you basically have to break them out and it's not clean, although it worked I don't advise doing it. Or you can cut the can and remove them that way but you will have to re weld the can together and it will always show. Nice exhausts are not cheap for sure...
And I really don't have anything indepth video or pic wise but I do have two other videos on here, all 3 vids have a different sound because the exit pipe/tip has been changed.
@@mikesrcgarage I did end up seeing a guy on here gut the can, it's not fun. I think I'm just going to have to find another stock exhaust to work on and play with it. It's well over 1000 bucks Canadian for a set of good pipes... I can mess up a lot of stock pipes to figure it out. Thanks for your reply.

Oh Man! My cousin had a '85 750 Shadow that I loved the looks of but it felt too small for my 6' 3" 220 pound frame so I went looking for an '86 V65 Magna! Two bikes down the line was a new for the '86 year VT1100C Shadow and it was love at first sight. First and only year they had a pipe on each side! I traded in a 450-4 cylinder Honda that I had $400.00 in and they actually let me have $900.00 for it! I was happy to get outta there before they could see just how happy I was. Not too long afterward, I bought a trailer on a 3/4 acre lot and almost immediately got laid off. I couldn't pay for both so I had to let my Shadow go. Broke my heart. I stopped in a Honda dealer about 12 years later and they had an '86 1100 in good condition but they wanted more for it than I paid for mine new! I did finally get an '82 V65 Magna and that thing scared the shit outta me. If there was no traffic, I'd think I was probably running 60 or so and look down to see I was pushing 85-90mph. That one was fun until I realized that my old mother and young son were expecting me to look after them so I sold it! Wow my bro that's quite a story... Motorcycles are very dangerous for sure!!! There was a time in my life when I only rode motorcycles no cars that was over 20 years ago! I just revived this bike recently and honestly don't like to ride on the road, but putting around the lake to the mailbox is something I do enjoy! Thank you my friend, and yes be safe! Great fun/bikes indeed! My car broke down once and I had to ride a Honda 770K Custom tricked out a bit from where I was staying, 30 miles to work with snow on the roads. That was fun, not! All I had on was my mechanics uniform, a sort of heavy jacket a Navia (I think) full face helmet with a towel wrapped around my neck and a pair of thin gloves. I could barely pry my hands loose from the handlebars when I got to work and had to sit by a heater for an hour before I could actually get to work I stayed at Mama's until I could get my car running again and the place I worked let me drive the work truck some too.
The 450-4 was pawned to me for $400.00 and I only rode it to see what kind of shape it was in. I've not had too many bikes but all were good ones!
@@grumpymissblysdroneadventu7224 Burrr yeah that's cold not fun in Cali the weather doesn't get too bad no snow but I've had many cold rides! The 450-4 is a classic Honda very cool! I've had quite a few bikes but mostly cafe or drag style bikes I really liked racing and speed! Lol, with age comes a cage they say so a cruiser will do for now! Lol!
My girlfriend's daughter's boyfriend needed the $400.00 and had nothing to put up for it so I loaned him the money for 30 days with the bike as collateral. He couldn't pay it back and I didn't really want it so I traded it in. $900.00 for $400.00, you bet I was happy. If had been a 2 cylinder, I probably couldn't have given it away!
