im in trucking school right now..i know it SEEMS like a lot to remember but if u study this shit at least ONE hour EVERY DAY even on the weekends...u will be SURPRISED at how good u are with knowing what is what on an 18 wheeler...its not about having an awesome memory..its about your mind being exposed to the same information over and over and over again.......it becomes easier and easier and easier................try it
Even if you dont have a truck to reference? I'm headed to cdl school in a week or two, need to get this down.
@@ME-kr7sm I'm in a school now. If you're in a good school... they will explain, demonstrate, explain some more, and then... put you behind the wheel and let you practice, practice, practice. The trainers will not be your testers... so the trainers' reputation are on the line (very similar to a sports coach- they have to train their athletes to excel- that will be their "grade"... how well their students perform!)
You will do fine!!! Don't worry!!! I can tell by the tone of your comment, you want to succeed!!! You will... and you're doing the right thing... YouTubing it!!!
Thank you bro pretrip inspection next week wish me luck
@@xbgibxgib6952 i commented on this thread over a year ago ...I been passed my pretrip on the first try....from what I understand they already know your not going to name EVERY part on that truck ...they just want to see .....DID U AT LEAST STUDY??.......they can tell if someone didn't study AT ALL and still want a CDL.....that's all they want to know..did u at least study ...your going to be fine ..
@@percyastronautstatus.8780 thanks for the reply. not asking which state that was in
The most thorough pre trip I've ever seen on UA-cam
I passed my pre-trip inspection yesterday by watching your video... Thanks guys...
This Video changed my life, I'm officially class A commercial driver. Passed my skills today🙏
I just passed today. It wasn’t as easy as people want to think it is. It definitely was worth it.
Congratulations! What you found challenging?
💪🏾🙏🏾✝️
I've been driving 8 years, and it doesn't matter how many of these inspection videos I watch, I always glean some new tidbit of information.
Gr5orhvt pp ok
The best trailer inspection that I've seen. Very detailed and descriptive. The first instructor I've seen go under the trailer to go over parts. AWESOME THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I went through about 10 videos and this is the best one and I don't have to look for a more informative video
Very informative and for CDL beginners. You are a great instructor. Thanks.
Thank you for the clearly photographed and very detailed pre-trip explanation!
He's just telling you what you need to know for the test and it's a great video IMO
It's free knowledge take in or don't.Thanks for the video.I seen a lot of them boots in the sandbox.
mounted and secured, all nuts are present and tight. nothing is cracked bent or broken.
lol ya = CDL
4321elzzird U Pass))
The phrase that pays
Most words that need to be remember are- secure mount, nut bold present tight, no crack, bend, abrasion, frayed, worn, leaking, dry rod, then the others left is location of each part.
Not damage crack or broken, no abrasions bulges or cuts not rip torn frayed or dry roted

this is a good Pretrip video. thanks for sharing your knowledge..
Thanks for the video! This test is no joke, lots to remember.
This is so thorough - fantastic video! Thank you!
Very good instruction. Company owned trailers can be the most neglected things. Check everywhere for corrosion and cracks. Everytime you stop you should do a walk around. Listen for airleaks.
This guy is great 👍🏻 Thank you 🙏
AMAZING EXPLANATION OF WHAT WHY AND WHERE. I ENJOYED KNOWING WHAT THE PURPOSE WAS FOR AS MUCH AS LOCATION AND NAME. AMAZZZZING REALLY GOOD JOB
Thank you, for helpful education, all of it wonderful, I am learning. Get my CDL.

Great refresher for me thanks for this video blitz week is coming up again 😭
Make sure you touch all over your air lines. I was dinged for having abrasion that couldn't be seen by the naked eye, but felt if you touch it
great thanks

Was the oil good on trailer tires hub oil seal?
Thanks for your help..
Good teacher Good job
you forgot, on the header board, to check the registration for the trailer. And to make sure it matches the license plate on the trailer.
John Karmann there is another video for that, same person on this channel.
I am psyched out for my pre-trip exam tomorrow. When you are explaining everything to the tester it takes me 40-45 min. But in real life when I do a pre-trip it will take me 5-10. Doesn't make sense....
Erik Scherer how did you do on your pre trip I inspection last yeR
And I would like to know 😊😊😊 more about the machine especially basics and how I can get them 👍👍👍🙏 🙏🙏
Perfect!
thanks thanks thanks
How do lights bend?
I would say that the DOT Tape is not 50% of the side of trailer.....
This is the best best and best
Should the tires be the same brand and model to wear evenly?
Yeah and in this video the real trailer wheels are different ahaha
I could be wrong but that crank handle looked bent
What kind of light is that at 4:34? Is that another clearance light?
marker, blinker, flasher, plus a reflector
No one does this. Check the tires and lights, maybe the locking jaw and done.
yes but if the scale does an inspection and find something deffective you are in trouble. So for your safety always do proper pti.
Big Nizzle I have to learn this the exact same way for the state test
You're a disaster waiting to happen
The part of Trailer it’s completely deferent in California rules CDL , I need help - I payed 2000$ for a year because it very hard what should I do???
Torque arm, torsion arm, torsion bar, arm torsion... which one
Please write the name on the phone screen
12:36 missing bolt
Not missing. Its a black bolt, not a white one like the rest.
the best video
you say there needs to be 50% dot sticker on the side of trailer but there is 100%
That's the minimum requirement.
maybe i missed it, didn’t hear mention of brake drums & brake pads
He did around 6:30
Always
