    1. Make the Word central in your church
    2. Make the Gospel clear! You realize that true, saving faith cannot be separated from repentance.
    3. Make the corporate implications of repentance & faith CLEAR
    4. Make the line between non members and members clear
    5. Have a shared burden among the elders to model this
    6. Have regular times where examples of God working in people's lives are shared. Testimony of grace to encourage other members of the church. It builds spiritual honesty.
    7. Pray openly and regularly for God to operate in the church, and create disciples.
    8. Make applications in your sermon for loving biblically. Mutual up- building. Able to instruct one another. Stir up one another to good works.
    9. Realize importance of regular gathering together of congregation. It is important for both the members and pastors. Creates a culture of friendship.
    10. Pray for humility. Mention how others have helped you grow.
    11. Promote good, trustworthy books to help disciple. Give them away on fellowship nights.
    12. Make part of your normal conversation with others openly spiritual.
    13. Do discourage rigidity. Allow many (2-3) to disciple you.
    14. Beware of wrong dependency developing. Do not allow this to happen.
    15. Make sure to disciple within same sex, but different cultures & races. The people who pour into you should be different from you.
    16. Be aware that instituting programs may diminish discipling. Bring others into what you are doing.
