I had a Danelectro Black Liquorice metal pedal back in the day. To this day, that’s one of the best pedals I’ve ever come across. When you’re starting out and only have a stupid little amp with little to no distortion/gain, it’s incredible. I used it with a little Peavey Rage in the early 2000’s. And the tone was surprisingly good. Obviously not as good as the tone I get now with a large tube amp, but for the time, and level I was at, it was amazing. I don’t know how many of Danelectro’s pedals are as good.
This was the first tuner pedal I ever owned. I gave it away after i got a multi effects pedal with a tuner built in. Can't say that I really ever missed it as it was fairly hard to read compared to almost every other tuner pedal on the market. Using a polytune 3 these days. Although my favorite tuner has to be the pitch lab pro app in the spectrogram mode on my phone as it allows you to visualize the attack sustain and decay time and pitch of the note you play.
