We now have tropical storm Alberto - the first of likely many, many named storms this hurricane season.
I have the latest plus what to expect over the coming days.

It finally got going!!
Is the paper tracking map a patreon item? Or is that something to download someplace? Love your videos! Thanks for all the tech info!
🐕 She's here
Would totally not shock me though if we see early MDR activity again this year given the warm water just like last year when the two June tropical cyclones formed. It may wait until July this year but still wouldn't be any surprise to me.
Here's to hoping "Milton" does not find Milton, FL.
Nor Pensacola!
Like how Florence hit Florence, SC.
I'm in navarre
Tropical Cyclone Freddy in the Indian Ocean last year hit an ACE score of 87, not sure how that stacks up in terms of record ACE storms but was the highest ACE producer in the Southern Indian basin ever recorded, guess it also helps it lasted 37 days
Thx Mark
cheers and thanks
That wind is high. I’m in New Orleans for work and on those cranes; the wind is super strong
Stalling over d'iberville now
I've read online before that depressions aren't included in ACE output.
Let’s go
Finally got Alberto to form in the Gulf today. It comes on the one-year anniversary of the first of two rare June MDR tropical cyclones to form in which the first as we know was named Bret. Saturday marks the one-year anniversary of the second one forming in the deep tropics as we know was Cindy.
Ok THATS NOT FAIR my first and Middle name are in the list What is the SPC trying to tell me LOL
Correct, beta in September that year.
I would never call Alberto or any tropical cyclone for that matter our friend given their capability for destruction. That's not taking the work you do to protect people lives seriously. Don't call Alberto our friend Mark.
Come on man. Tropical cyclones rock!!
@@markpalavosvrahotes5575If you live in an area most susceptible to devastating hurricanes and then takes on a direct hit I bet the storm would never be your friend at the end of the day with your town in ruins. So no, tropical cyclones don’t rock and aren’t to be taken for granted. They’re very serious.
But the weather tamperers won’t let it rain over Medina Lake. Yet again.
