  • This is Chopin's Raindrops from the Eternal Sonata soundtrack. I got bored one day and made this messing around with my laptops video editor program. I didn't know what I was doing so there's a long silence at the end. Oh well.

I can bring myself to cry so easily to this song I don't know why, this song at first feels nice and uplifting but then the true darkness emerges. Just how after childhood you realize we live in a world with so much hate. Love is the answer and it will always be the answer. God bless

This Prelude Op.28 Num.15 was composed in the 1838-1839 winter in the village of Valldemosa in the Mallorca island in Spain, where Chopin was with George Sand and her children, Maurice and Solange. The ''ostinato' note is an A flat and imitates the sound of rain on the roof tiles on a rainy night.

A light breeze picked up and the scent of the blossoms filled my house. That mixed with the sound of rain hitting the leaves and the music playing made me feel so calm and relaxed. I love spring.

Does it really matter where you first heard this piece from. As long as they like it, it shouldn't matter. Music is universal, it's something we all have in common, no matter your religion, gender, ethnicity, or race. That's the beautiful thing about it. So to those of you who are new to classical music, I welcome you to a whole new world of beauty.

    • @donaldedward4951

Not quite universal; there are some who teach that music and art distract our minds from God, paradise and hell. I am not a victim of that concept and hate that idea. No, not quite universal.

"God", some religious nuts would really go that far to just listen to nothing?
And, so what if it's Christian music though, or other given religions? Is that the exception, or are some people against even that?
I figured the joy of life and the things in life that bring that joy, and that brings people together, is holy on all on it's own...

Besides most of the people here either know this from the Halo believe campaign or Eternal Sonata. Either way you know because of a video game. Very few people here know this song because they are fans of classical music. So what's all the fighting about, especially when this song is about the struggle to find inner peace when in turmoil.

I'm pretty sure all the people here saying that this was made for Halo, will never play the beautiful game that taught us about Frederic Chopin's life. That game was Eternal Sonata, one of the best JRPGs ever created.

I love the speed at which this is played. I have heard faster versions and I don't think they quite hit the sweet spot. I also love the emphasis and weight on certain notes. It really gives room for the atmosphere this wonderful piece creates to shine through.
