Does that still happen if you set the keyframes to hold (constant) keyframes? I’ve found the shot manager addon to be invaluable for doing large multiple shot projects in a single blend file. And then I just make heavy use of view layers, instances and enabled/disabled collections to avoid this kind of stuff, it also allows me to still move things like the pile of stuff freely without having to remember to alter keyframes. Though I do wish Blender had a bit more of a ‘take system’ similar to C4D for handling this kind of thing.
