Norwegian rap duo Karpe is Chirag Rashmikant Patel and Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid. In 2022 they released Omar Sheriff, a music project packed full of tributes and nods to their background (Chirag being of Indian and Magdi being of Egyptian origin). They mix Norwegian with Arabic, Hindi, Gujarati and English in a way no one has done before them - call it 'diaspora pop'. Karpe has done such a good job at mixing Norwegian and other cultures together. The duo are children of immigrants (India and Egypt) They are a national treasure in Norway, but we wish more people knew them abroad! This video is from their 10 concerts they had in Oslo. 10.000 people each concert, all sold out. Maybe the only group that can get all of Norway to shout Allah Allah 😅

Coming straight from Coke Studio. And its the first Song i listened, what a masterpiece. So happy that coke studio introduced us to a gem that otherwise we dont know existed in Form of Karpe. As a pakistani growing up in germany i never thought Norway could have such type of Music. This energy this vibe dont has to be translated to understand, you Just feel it.
