There's a hint of Chris Gayle about Kyle Mayers, big and powerful, well able to clear the ropes but a clean striker who times it well, anyone who can score a 4th innings double century on test debut has a fair amount of class, I'm not sure if anyone else ever has, but it's some achievement to get them over the line in Bangladesh chasing around 400
Yes Kyle Mayers is good, maybe one of my favorite west Indian cricketer playing the game atm. But he has been having problems with international players, not locally, he needs to work on that, he isn't really young either, so it imperative that he displays his talent before he gets older.
Who cares man they all can slog and hit sixes. I want to see complete batters coming out of the windies. Who is still impressed by sixes. Complete batters run hard, hit gaps, have game awareness, know how to manipulate the field to their advantage, master the basics problem solve in the heat of battle. Know themselves and their game and prepare accordingly. These guys and previous generations have become accustomed to mediocrity and this is where we are now. This awful display of poor skills and professionalism.
@janga75 that's what I said, he got a test double hundred, if he was just a slogger that wouldn't happen. In that innings he shared a big partnership with Nkrumah Bonner, who is slow but consistent, and can play the anchor roll. There is no Lara and Chanderpaul any more for West Indies, they have to make do with what they have, thought Shai Hope might kick on after his 2 centuries at Headingly, but he never did, and that's a few years ago now
You don't have to be a pace bowler or a bowler...matter of a fact not even a cricketer to see that man is absolutely pelting and shouldn't be able to pelt again
Kyle mayers should’ve atleast try to replicate Chris Gayle but he’s no where close and consistent enough!! Where is Ramon Simmons? I’ve Been asking for him since the CPL
The West Indies Fans have completely given up on their cricket , not a single person in the ground to watch the match, the West Indies Cricket Team has simply vanished from the international stage and even their own people have washed their hands upon them. Everything is to be blamed for the players who play for money but not for their country, all the superstar players from west indies play cricket around the world for money in leagues but when it comes for their nation, all the players are new comers and never heard before names and this is what happens then to the entire national team. I hope the international leagues stop buying west indies players to teach them a lesson and they should all realise that pride for the nation is first and not the money from leagues, to be honest , west indies cricket team plus their officials deserves this ... sad but the truth
What's the use of this ton, when you can't qualify for the world cup, not hatred, but we all are missing your celebration.....😕😕😕, wish England could have been replaced.....
Reffir just throwing the ball ...west Indian bowling for u

not a good bawling from WI. That's the main that they were rejected from the WC selection. They need serious bowling unit to defend scores

Not a single person in the stadium... So sad for the players
Across the world domestic matches have no attendance. Even India at times.
Empty .... it's a pity
Wuh cawbleh even blind men could see men pelting bad
D ganga left world cup to commentate here?
What about world cup. They just play t20 till unable to qualify for world Cup, just need to improve windies cricket
Very inconsistent, unreliable
Windwards lapse with Barbados sweet bowling
