Week 5 Training my Duck Dog | Duck Dog puppy Training

Hello friends,
In this week's video we cover "heel" work. If your new here this is my female black lab puppy Onyx. Onyx is currently in week 5 of the ‪@cornerstonegundogacademy‬ of the 52 plus program which is designed for duck dog training.
I wanted to do something different this week, and that is show you our 3rd day teaching Onyx how to heel without the command and then with command. Usually when I post a video its been a week of training that particular command and its like Onyx is doing them without a problem. Here you will see Onyx simply be a puppy and easily get distracted.
When teaching the command "heel" first start off by doing so offleash, and without the command. Do these sessions until your dog understands what is asked of he/she and then implment the vocal command. It is recommended by Cornerstone GunDog Academy to do these anywhere from 3-5 minutes each, at least 3 times a day.
