He is just imitating the late founder's style of preaching in the 1960s and 1970s. He is not doing anything wrong or deviation to the principles of Iskcon. They have held this belief for far longer but it is not the official view of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who preaches and teaches about love and compassion that even thousands of Muslims would visit him to listen and learn. Today Iskcon is no different from the 1960s with its hardliners and supporters.

He says - Krsna has prescribed different methods to go to different planets (yānti deva vratā devān..). However, they (Americans) have approached the moon disobeying the Lord's authority, using yantra(s). They will never be able to the real moon (Caṅdraloka) or encounter any Candravāsī(s), which reside in a higher dimension of the same universe. He is just imitating the late founder's style of preaching in the 1960s and 1970s. He is not doing anything wrong or deviation to the principles of Iskcon. They have held this belief for far longer but it is not the official view of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who preaches and teaches about love and compassion that even thousands of Muslims would visit him to listen and learn. Today Iskcon is no different from the 1960s with its hardliners and supporters.

Verse 8: 1,00,000 yojanas (8,00,000 miles) above the rays of the sun-light is the moon which travels faster than the sun. He covers a distance equal to one solar year in two lunar sides. That is, it covers a distance equal to one month of the Sun in two and a half days and a distance equal to one side of the Sun in one day. Verse 9: When the Moon grows (in the Shukla Paksha), its luminous portion increases day by day, creating day for the deities and night for the forefathers. But when the moon continues to decrease (in Krishna's side), night arises for the gods and day for the ancestors. In this way, the moon passes through each constellation in thirty Muhurtas (in a whole day). The moon affects the growth of food grains by providing nectarine coolness, hence the moon god is considered the soul of all living beings. As a result, he has been called the main living being, the living entity, in this universe. Verse 10: Being full of all powers, the moon is an indicator of the influence of the Supreme Lord. The moon is called Manomaya because it is the main deity of the mind of every person. It is also called Annamaya because it gives strength to all the vegetation and plants. Being the life support of all living beings, it is also called nectar. Moon pleases all the gods, ancestors, humans, animals, birds, reptiles, trees, plants and all other living beings. All beings are satisfied by the presence of the moon; As a result, he is also called "Sarvamaya".

Verse 1: Śrīśukadeva Gosvāmī said-O king, some Purana-readers say that 10,000 yojanas (80,000 miles) below the Sun is a planet named Rahu which moves like the constellations. The deity, the presiding deity of this planet, who is the son of Simhika, is the most hated of all the asuras, and although he is absolutely unfit for this position, he has been able to obtain it by the grace of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. I will say further about that. Verse 2: The expansion of the Sun, the source of heat, is 10,000 yojanas (80,000 miles). Moon's extends up to 20,000 yojanas (160,000 miles) and Rahu's up to 30,000 yojanas (240,000 miles). At the time of nectar distribution, Rahu wanted to create enmity between the Sun and the Moon by sitting between them. Rahu has enmity towards both Sun and Moon. That's why he always tries to cover them on new moon and full moon days. Verse 3: Hearing the attack of Rahu from the Sun and Moon deities, Lord Vishnu moves his Sudarshan Chakra to protect them. This chakra is the most beloved devotee and beloved vessel of God. For the slaughter of non-Vaishnavs, its intense brightness is unbearable for Rahu, so he runs away in fear. When Rahu afflicts the Moon or the Sun, an eclipse occurs.

He says - Krsna has prescribed different methods to go to different planets (yānti deva vratā devān..). However, they (Americans) have approached the moon disobeying the Lord's authority, using yantra(s). They will never be able to the real moon (Caṅdraloka) or encounter any Candravāsī(s), which reside in a higher dimension of the same universe.
And what revolutionary advancement have they made by spending so much? (Further questioned in the samvāda)

1. Please read Purport for SB 8.10.38 There, he is saying, Distance to Moon Planet or Chandra Planet is 9 Crore Miles and hence NASA cannot reach in 3 days. But, our ISRO has again Proved that, Moon is NOT 9 Crore miles, but just 3 Lakh Miles.
