Wow, that totally clarifies my issue with the dates. I was always trying to click on the begin or end date instead of 2 click method. Thank you so much for clarifying that. Best 22 minutes of my day…keep up the great work.
I wish I had seen this video before rushing off on my first RV trip. Would have saved me a lot of swearing as I tried to plan travel on the fly. 🤪 Now it all makes sense. One thing I tried to do, that the locked dates prevents me from doing is to mark multiple options for a given over night stay. From the road, I was looking for a truck stop, superstore parking lot to stay at tonight. I want to put them both in because I'm not sure how far I'm going to drive, 200 or 250 miles. I'd like to have them both show up for tonight. Similarly maybe in 2 nights I'm not sure which, but I want to "bookmark" possible locations which will be for the same night but not determined yet which one. Since I've only used RV Trip Planner for about 7 days, there may be a work around, but I don't see it yet.
22 minutes to explain a " really confusing" feature. (That means the problem is in the interface design, not the user. Maybe add an informational link to guide users) tl;dr: 1. Open record. 2 . Check "lock date" check box. 3. two clicks!--click start date and end date. that should do it. Number of nights will automatically populate. 4. save. If you need to change, just open the record to edit, then two clicks again.
I like that you provided a snippet on this one topic. A "single topic" (focused discussion) approach, like your speed training videos, is very helpful in better understanding all that RV Life Trip Wizard has to offer. Thanks!
Very helpful, thanks.
Very nice explanation I now see how this can be helpful for a real road trip! Not just a quick weekend trip.

Now it makes me wish all those car rental and other reservation sites did it this way..
