      Thank you so much Juliet. I've only just come back to knitting after many years away. I'm enjoying it when I have time to sit and do it. It's probably good for me to make the time.

    OMG😍 I will wear it as a necklace 😉.it's sooooo pretty. Just shuffle the numbers around. It is a brainy idea for Knitters. I have been placing stitch markers on every row of a pattern. Thanks for sharing 🥰👍👍👍💗💗💗🌹🌹🌹

      @The_Stylish_Maker  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, I think it would make a good necklace too! No more stitch markers on every row for you - you now have no excuse not to make these and use them. Lol.

      @@The_Stylish_Maker you are adorable. I will make a few as I have many "half made" sweaters. NO EXCUSE to loose track of rows and concentration. Truly this will be very handy. With stitch markers it's risky as they BREAK, too narrow for the knitting needle or pierce the yarn and a little "swearing" goes on. Finally it's a Super brainy idea. 😍 THANK YOU.

    Thanks for this very easy and pretty tutorial... I'm a crocheter new to knitting - and this tutorial is a life saver for me wanting to learn how to do other stitches besides the one row repeats... And, yes, Etsy ones are expensive - thankfully I already have everything - except the number beads - just something to add to my shopping list...

      Hi Anika, thank you so much for your kind words. I never knew about knitting row counters either until just recently when my sister sent me some pictures of them. I used to knit a lot but haven't done so in years - I've just started again and can see why they are so popular. Also the stitch markers are great. I'm about to make some numbered ones as the piece I'm working on requires 12 stitch markers.

    Oh! You have opened up a whole new world as I haven't seen these before - much nicer than normal stitch markers. My memory is not so good now so these would be great, and very pretty. Just had a thought - the individual numbered beads would be good to put on memory sticks so you can log each one and what it contains.

    Carol, these are fantastic. Knitters always like ‘bling’ on their needles. You could also make stitch markers just with the jump ring and not the lobster clasp. I hope you will be making up kits as I know lots of knitters who need these. Thank you

    You can also use the extra charm to mark your 10, 20, 30 etc rows. When you get to 11, you put the charm on 1. When you get to 20, you put the charm on 2. This way, you can count to 100 rows!😊

    I enjoyed your video. I was considering making one of these myself. Is there any way to do it without the jump ring? I had actually bought one of these markers and the jump rings, snag the yarn as I knit. I’ve tried to firm up the connection, but have not had much luck.

    • @The_Stylish_Maker
      @The_Stylish_Maker  10 місяців тому +1

      There are a couple of things to consider here, Becky. The weight of the jump ring and whether it is properly closed. A well closed jump ring in a heavier gauge should work well here without snagging. I use mine all the time and it doesn't snag on the wool. You could purchase a soldered jump ring which has no openings. Here's a link to some on Amazon. amzn.to/4bg0xXp

    Carol, I have not made these before, there have been a lot of requests for them in my knitting group. I make jewelry so I'll give it a try. I have to order some beads with numbers.
    I was wondering, someone ordered a row counter from someone else and they said the rings caught on the knit fabric. It seems to me that if you feel for the rough edges and press them down it should be sufficient. Are there any other tips should try? Thanks so much. So pleased I found your site.

    • @The_Stylish_Maker
      @The_Stylish_Maker  2 роки тому

      Thank you for your question. Yes, if you close the jump rings well, it should be fine. I also found that heavier jump rings work better. The first few I made I used some thinner gauge jump rings and the rings kept opening up slightly and catching. I've also been searching for some closed jump rings which could also work.
