This reminds me very much of my own visit when I was in the Philippines last November (2015). We spent a very pleasant day touring Vigan by Calesa and walking up Crisologo St, among other things. I saw several familiar sights in this video. Thanks for posting!
The paved streets, the horse carriages, the old-style houses, it is like a travel back in time. Nice video, thanks for taking us there. Modern times also, in the beginnig, the traffic jam outbound in the Quirino Boulevard. First I did fear you would drive outbound there too, but you did not. Good so.
+OpaSpielt i have not explored the entire place, i just passed by to eat lunch and made a 1 hour stroll before heading to the north. I would love to come back here and spend a day hehehe.
Thanks for posting a video of Vigan City. It's on our list of places to visit when we return to the Philippines. I am looking for places and events of interest.
Vigan is a very historic town you visited, albeit for a short time just for lunch. Even though your stay was short, I got a very good look at how the buildings looked. They're about the same as in Intramuros in Manila (as you documented in one of your previous joyrides). I liked how you documented your brief stroll in the historic downtown area, where on certain streets, vehicular traffic is prohibited. Even the photos you took also tell the same story of your visit there. I had no idea the historic area is just off the main road. Believe me, that's a far better setting than your joyrides in the hellhole called Metro Manila. Though the traffic was present, it wasn't as serious as in the metropolis. Just keep making joyrides wherever your journey takes you. Stay safe as always.
+Brian Hudson thank you for watching :-) I would rather love to do joyrides outside metro manila honestly hehehe that is why when i am send outside metro manila i am happy rather than driving to Quezon City, Pasay, Caloocan and etc... inside Metro Manila.
+Brian Hudson If I am not mistaken, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur was included in UNESCO's heritage sites just last year. The difference between Vigan and Intramuros is that Intramuros "old city: is just a few blocks between 2 streets and the streets and buildings are largely reproductions as Intramuros was, as almost all of the city of Manila, was levelled to the ground by US Army artillery, making Manila the 2nd most devastated city, after Warsaw, Poland in WW2. Gen. Douglas MacArthur did not want to engage the holed in and shipless Japanese Imperial Navy marines in a house to house gunfight like Stalingrad. Vigan on the other hand is largely intact from 400 years ago with many houses there still occupied by 5th or 6th generation descendants of its family owners. Almost the entire city of Vigan is pretty much a Spanish city laid out like Cartagena and Montevideo in Latin America.

I went to school in Vigan (UNP 1989), went back in 2019 and the city was unrecognizable... very nice... i want to go visit again..
This place has still the old look of the Philippines that I remember before I left. Awesomely beautiful. Love your channel and very cool soundtracks.
