"Black Lagoon" or "Death Parade" are two great animes. "Angel Beats" has a good combination of comedy, action and mystery. If you want more comedy i would suggest "Daily Lives of High School Boys" or "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei".

Warning, ⚠ there are spoilers I've watched the entire show, and I'm still not sure how I feel about Gowther. 1) he is awful at interpreting emotions, but still tries and ends up making everything 20x worse (bad) doesn't feel emotions (reasoning) 2) we barely know anything about his back story, accept for that he is very old doll, and that he was/is the commandment of selflessness which is worrying, bc we know a good amount about everyone's backstory. 3) he just chopped off the head of the person he has spent 10 years with, with no regrets. 4) SPOILERS for s3 ending and middle
He has wiped MANY peoples memories, and didn't even know why it was bad that he did so. And somehow he was the commandment of SELFLESSNESS? How? I mean I guess wiping someone's memory because he thought what he was doing would make them happier is ok, but he did it so he could try and learn emotion, which is selfish, and then he wiped Dianes memories to prove a point, that he can't prove because she doesn't remember the argument.
The only reason I can't just hate him, is because he is a doll, he doesn't have a heart, he doesn't have emotions. All he has is facts. He wants to know what these emotions that everyone talks about are, he wants to experience them, and he can't figure out how.
