I was only 14, but I'll never forget a clip they played with the instrument solo at 1:58 when mourners released white balloons in the air and slowly watched them disappear into the sky. It's seared in my mind. One year later my grandma passed away, and now I think of both of them.

I grew up recognizing the talent that Selena was - well is. I've heard this song countless times on the radio, at parties, with family gatherings. I grew up recognizing the talent that Selena was - well is. I've heard this song countless times on the radio, at parties, with family gatherings. I always understood how heartfelt the lyrics and the delivery of Selena's performance are with this classic. But only just now am I actually living it. I stumbled across a voice recording when I was trying to test a new mic today. It was of me and my ex playing a game and at the very end she was giggling while saying "ily".
