Hi mate, I knew all this already, but you updated me with some shortcuts tips.... You make it so easy to watch, understand and apply :) Thanks for that, cheers from New Zealand :)
Right ON...just learning all this stuff whilst in Civil Engineering up in Ontario Canada...my buddy was asking about the Trimble TDC600 as he wants to find a need for this purchase at his Municipal Office. This is a tool I am really interested in getting acquainted with, coming up shortly I'm going for the first time to shoot FS and BS with older equipment and I'm very excited about that actually!
I use a tsc3 with an antique version of Access. One of the the main things that annoy me about it is the ssslllooowww position refresh rate on the map of 1 Hz. I came here to see if that particular annoyance was addressed after 15 years of progress and I'm very disappointed to see it has not. Can this be adjusted? also, how is this on other brands?
For the linework they need to be line features. You also will want a line control code to tell the software that you are wanting to start drawing the line.
@@patrickkorzon9707 Autocad uses a similar procedure but through a survey database. To be honest, once it is completed in TBC I would prefer to export lines directly from it. My two cents.

I prefer actual collected data over offsets. sometimes mill overlay puts the back of curb at variable height. my two cents.
That is a great point that people should be aware of.

Freedom convoy
To set those offsets for the curb, does that have to be done in TBC first and imported to a feature library?
Nope u can do all this in the controller 👍
Where did you get that feature code library?
Beautiful work
We use a custom fcl. Curious as to what the miscoded BE designates?
I believe I heard him call it bitumen edge or something to that effect.

Typically GNSS is measuring its position at a 1hz epoch, so it makes sense as to why the refresh rate is what it is.
@@TheBlueDreamTeam 1Hz epoch. That's funny
Are your codes line or point codes? We are having issues with lines not drawing in the data collectors even when using line control codes. Thank you!

How can I import into Autocad the line control codes. Or does trimble just not work with Autocad
