Alot of ropes say like petzl flow come with a tiny slice splice and are labeled like traditional splices..when i got zigzag 4 years ago or so it came as kit with chicane and petzl flow .bought it from bartlett arborist...

Thanks Bino for all the great information! I am taking my skills exam tomorrow, would there be any advantage to using two climbing lines for the test? And will they let you advance the line with a pole and a carabiner attached to the line or do you have to take the carabiner off before you can advance it?

If it's an ISA test I don't believe you are able to use two climbing lines depending on the area. Some climbers use and extra long lanyard. You should be able use the pole equipment to advance and if you are using it you wouldn't need to take off the clip or carabiner unless you are throwing it more than 5 feet above your head.
