I used to be such a boring cook not knowing how to make many Hispanic Dishes, but now that I have your videos to watch and learn from, my Family is happier and healthier. Thank you so very much for sharing your wonderful talent and love of cooking.
You are so awesome. I have cooked Puerto Rican food for my husband and family, my husband is Puerto Rican and I am Native American. I absolutely love this food and so do our five children, plus extended family. My mother in law gave me a cookbook that I used for 33 years, but was still missing that authentic flavor. When we went to Puerto Rico I would flavor the food to taste what I was missing in my cooking. Thanks to you I am learning the secret ingredients that I have been missing. My husband loved my cooking before, now he feels like we have stepped into Puerto Rico. Thank you for your time in sharing your recipes.
I just tried this recipe and it is delish! I have cooked several of your recpies and they all turn out great. You keep it real when cooking and that makes it enjoyable. Keep em comin'.
I loveeee this channel!!! I def appreciate it! Everything looks very traditional. It helps those of us who have always gotten thrown out of the kitchen and never got to learn family recipes! :D Thank u Rican!!!
Hahaha!! I can relate with the getting kicked out the kitchen. "Bete paya que no caigan pelos!!" That was what my mom would say when she was doing cooking for special occasions for example when making pasteles. I had long hair and she'd kick me out so no hair would fall into the food. I'd get to sit in n watch otherwise.
I must say this is one of my favorite if not the best food I love to eat. I've always wanted to learn how to make this dish and after watching this video I think I can tackle it. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Man I was doing everything wrong😟 So much flavor the way you do it. I just boiled the gizzards with some seasoning, boil the green bananas and after it cooks chop everything up mix it in a bowl with shopped onions, peppers, olives I even add some corn and drizzle some olive oil and vinegar but I think the way you do it is going to add more flavor to the gizzards cause you cooked the meat first with the onions and all. Next time I'll try your way! 👌
Omg im so loving this... my coworkers are 100%🇵🇷 brought me this for lunch today i will be definitely be making this soon I am mexican American i was married to my ex. Along time ago he is from Yauco his mom got me hooked on p.r food i love her for that.thanks for this recipe ...

I spend a lot of time sick in the hospital and I torture myself by watching your delicious cooking videos. I swear I'm making this as soon as I come out. I never heard of putting tumeric in it. That's your own twist I think😂 but I have faith in you!! ❤️ I'm sure this will be delicious so I'm going to make it just like this😃
Some people like my self add vinagre and add bay leaves just for flavor then remove before putting in tray or presentation plate . But i see you add tumeric I’ve never tried it that way did you decide to replace the bay leaves for turmeric in your opinion does that make the flavor better . I just wanna learn how to make it in different ways
Muchas gracias!

I recall growing up, the trick about the milk. However, to anyone who actually cooks the banana or plantain by using that method, you might want to mention that to anyone else you're serving it to in case they have milk/dairy allergies.

Nice tip about the green bananas.. Ive been cooking them for years, but my family never taught me a solution to the purple-black water. Gracias mijo!!
My auntie (titi) showed me this trick too...lol It works!
the purple black water is because of your tap water.... if you use filtered water then you would be fine
