    DESCRIPTION
Complete Bar Chord Tutorial (PART 1) for Beginner and Intermediate Guitar Students. This video is intended for beginner to intermediate students. All demonstrations break down the fundamental components and correct mechanics of the bar (barré) technique for 2 and 3-string bar chords. I also included several exercises and practice strategies to help you improve correctly. Please make sure to explore more permutations than what is shown in the video for best results.
For the bar (“barre”) technique, we use our left-hand index finger to cover 2 or more strings simultaneously. We can do this using only part of the finger or the entire finger depending on what the music calls for. In this video, I show you a set of barre exercises to help you develop your 2 and 3-string barre chords and provide tips to help you avoid injuries.
IMPORTANT: It is imperative that you work on this technique correctly. Your primary goals should be to play this with minimal physical effort & relaxation, and good tone. Practicing bar chords with improper technique, too much wrist flexion, too many repetitions, or too much pressure WILL LEAD TO INJURY. Please do NOT push through any pain or discomfort. If you are having trouble, contact me (or any teacher) for a lesson to make sure you are doing everything correctly.
Neither I (Diego Alonso), Diego Alonso Music, the Spanish Guitar Mastery Program, Sonanta LLC, or any affiliates shall be held responsible for any student's repetitive stress or guitar-related injuries.

Yes it can be pretty challenging but hang in there! Think of it like exercising and start slow and easy. Just a few repetitions to start. Little by little you’ll get it. Just make sure to press as lightly as possible and to always take breaks between repetitions to avoid injury.

Hang in there! The key is to minimize your tension and take lots of breaks. Improvement will happen over time with consistency.

I've been practicing this for a few days now. And I can attest that it is one of the best exercise to improve your barring.
The thing is it seems boring at first but when you really start to do as told then all your wrong ideas and techniques gets corrected, is what I feel.
Great one. Helping me so much. Appreciate it 👌
