Shadow’s pose ( forgive me for forgetting the name) was absolutely stunning! I tried to read what it meant. I got something about drying feathers from the dew? I don’t know if my source was reliable but it was breathtaking! These two never stop making me smile. Thank you SKH!!! ❤️🦅❤️🦅
Yes, drying the dew or other moisture is one reason for the horaltic pose. They also do it in the morning to warm themselves in the sun. It can also help control parasites and bake off bacteria (similarly to the way peregrines lay down and spread their wings in the sun).

That's the 2nd time Shadow dipping into the cotton candy. Saw him last month, same thing. Lol
That white fluff is from the giant flying cotton feesh, which is found only in the BBV lake. It is a very elusive feesh and only those with eagle eyes can spot it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Thanks, SKH, for the lovely morning views with sweet melodies by Jackie and Shadow!
