The Willie James is actually a sleeper car and the reason the power car has an odd wheel set up is because on the axle with the 6 wheels is where the generator sets. Its heavier. Also the difference between the City of Portland and the other dome car is that the City of Portland is a diner dome and the other is a dome lounge.
@@webmancsrcsr8244 The FEF-3 can run on these curves, but I think that it is more of a problem with the leading wheels and the drivers. As I remember the front driver would pop off the track, but I think that it was due to a change in elevation for some of my track. There is another tutorial on UA-cam that goes through how to fix this issue that is apparent on some of the FEF-3’s. I use the R381 (15”) and R348 (13 3/4”) curves to reduce the chance of a derailment occurring.
This is the first video of this set I've seen that makes me want to have it. Very well done and thank you for showing.
Thanks!

Cool! Thanks for the info!
Nice video! I do Ho scale. I do own a few N scale trains, and I own the 7 car excursion and water tenders and new subscriber!
Cool! HO scale is really nice too because of the great details. Thanks for subscribing!
@michaelstraintalk1943 I agree and you're welcome!
What are the size of your curves where the 844 derails? Kato says it run on 11” minimum curves. I want to buy the engine but not if it derails.

I just bought this set based partially on this review! However, some of my cars have a door missing. Is that the case with yours?
Cool! Some of the doors are missing on my cars, but I think that it may be intended. You won’t notice it when your running though.
Nice set
Thanks!
I highly recommend it 10/10.
