As a young architect back in London I always cycled by Richard Rogers Studio in Hammersmith, inspired by his studio, and 25 year later I am still inspired by him now! Thank you.
I stopped by what I think was this property a couple of weeks back. Looks totally normal from the outside but you could see the huge ceilings and lack of internal walls inside. I love it, so clean and calm.
Once I was into this type of interior design. After maturing and living in different houses, now I enjoy cozier atmospheres, more wood, more textures, more warmness. My personal preferences aside, Sir Richard Rogers was one of the most admirable architects to have ever lived.
My Art collection is infinitely better + my gallery Arte del Fulmine [= Art of the Thunderbolt] is AMAZING. Tap in Dolcedo Art of the Thunderbolt for 3 shorts in EXCELLENT TASTE. Screw modernism!
@@JimOverbeckgenius Maybe I expressed it badly. When using "young" I meant "belonging to the present time". I like Richard Roger's high-tech architecture. Although elderly the couple is "current". (my English is not so good)

I notice they are really influenced by Philip Guston’s art works. I do love the Warhol Mao’s scale as well. I would definitely enjoy spending time with them and discussing modern art and architecture. A really fun place to live.
Having visited friends living in a couple of such stark modernist homes, I'd say the major shortcoming of such interiors is that they look pretty awful when messy. The open plan kitchen especially has to be kept clean, but messy desks and clothing piled on chairs and couches also spoil the sculptural effect of such spaces.

Each to his own......just not a “home” at all. The kitchen reminds me of a public bathroom.😱 Dangerous stairs. I don’t know who these people are, I’m not from England; but what were they thinking!?
The husband is a world famous architect. However, yes, I can't stand this house. I also wonder how long they'll be able to keep walking up and down all those damn stairs, they're far from young.
Exactly. I appreciate it as something different. However, post COVID I definitely appreciate separate spaces. Cy, Andy...great collection.
RIP Roger, my condolences to Ruth 😞.
BRILLIANT! I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT IT IS A KIDS FRINDLY ABODE THOUGH----but great it sounds like you have them trained
I used to work nearby and would regularly see Mrs Rogers making tea for their children!
They must be really healthy, those sets of stairs could be challenging for people in certain age
There also looked to be at least 20 risers in that lower flight! Very nice however, I'd love to live there.
Use it or lose it.
maybe it's part of what keeps them healthy at that age

I literally love it 😍
No pun intended
This house has been transformed so many time...
Amazing! 😍⭐️
Wonderful.love your clothes too. And colors.
Beautiful! ❤️
Dear lord, why only 2 minutes?
Not sure I understand the issue with an extractor fan- is it because it’s visually disruptive?
More of this amazing house please, way too short video....
Heating can be expensive with high ceilings; a lot of stairs to climb for an older person.

the pink room was a bathroom---too clausterphobic for me
wow
Close to the kitchen is Mao Zedong ,
Responsible for The Great Chinese Famine.

goddamn her face is a work of art
chilly

Less is bore ... wonderful light without a soul. What about the dangerous endless stair ?
Yes, my thoughts exactly, all of that.
Whats the name of the piano background Sound?
why is the piano that close to the stairs?

VERY NICE, UNFORTUNATELY AS THEY AGE THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO USE THE STAIRS AND THE HOUSE WILL NOLONGER BE PRACTICAL. 🤔
