Can’t believe this video is 12 years old now. Kyoto is one of the best anime studios for making anime like K-On! it’s still heartbroken about the fire incident rip.
K-ON is short for "Kei-ongaku" which means "light music" in Japanese. This show is about four girls (later, five) who form a band as a highschool club. That's pretty much all there is to it. If you're looking for a deep plot/plot twists/tragic scenarios, then you're looking at the wrong anime. But if you intend on watching it with light intentions, then this show is fantastically hilarious, and sweet. It is bubbly, but it's very humorous, the characters are great, and the music is wonderful!
Being Azusa is Hard Because she's the most serious on all of the five Meanwhile the four are just fun and go with everything And she have a hard time adjusting to the mood and vibes of the four But I'm just happy that she adjusted to the four and probably have the biggest Character Development in the whole show

I loved that scene. Its one of my favorites. And I really realy love her happy face when Yui gave her some head patting, its sooo cute, Azusa looked like she was the happiest girl in the world with the choir in the background
Since they keep treating Azusa like a baby, I always forget that Azusa is only about a year younger than them. That's why when they went to London (in the K-On! Movie) I was sort of surprised when Azusa told the immigration officer that she's 17.
While not having crossed the line as far as Mio (whose entire character is shaped around helplessness rather than vulnerability), I kind of feel that the seniors occasionally reduce Azusa to the status of their cat. (YMMV, though a number of fans contend that this is part of her appeal.)
You know, I respect your opinion, since you had a legitimate reason, and you didn't try to degrade the show. And so I thank you. K-ON isn't for everyone. I mean, my initial thoughts were the same as yours. But I guess it just exceeded my expectations as to what slice of life anime was (my first). I love animes with serious plots (I just finished watching Steins;Gate, awesome) but I guess I want light-hearted shows haha. I just wish people would express opinions with more material, like you! :)
Fun fact: The same voice actor for azunya also does the voice of Hotaru Shidare for Dagashi Kashi, a show which is all about sweets/candy and Hotaru is batshit insane for them.

Had the most demented idea. Use the same animation style and make a show about a bunch of kawaii Japanese girls during the Firebombing of Japan. Make some horrific scenes of their homes being destroyed, have some of them die horribly, make it a tragedy that starts out kawaii then ends gruesomely. Like Grave of the Fireflies but more of this style of animation. Not gonna lie, never been an anime fan, but what I do recognize in anime is that they know how to use visuals to get you caring about the characters. The adorable face and eyes really can get you! And I can only imagine the emotions that would be generated while seeing these innocent looking characters being subjected to horror beyond our comprehension. I'd probably cry at this movie.
