Cool looking bike. Nice job on the graphics design.
Hey thanks dude! I appreciate you checkin the video out. Hope you're well. Keep rippin dude! -Nick
Extremely good looking bike! Mods made with taste.
Thanks Marko! I appreciate that dude. Tried to be as intentional as I could. 😎
Lol the stock rear fender crash zoom was hilarious.
Had to do it hahahaha. That thing is wild lookin'
Awesome bike dude!
thanks so much dude! glad you like it. I have tons of riding vids with it , enjoy em! cheers! 💥💥💥
I have a KLX250sf with a few mods as well. IMS foot pegs have been awesome. Race tech gold valves and springs in the front have also been well worth it. I just put pro taper bars on and now need longer throttle cables… always something to buy!
right?! haha I have been debating doing some new springs as well. my front fork is leaking bad been riding the piss out of her haha
Picked up a klx300 a few months ago. So far all I've done is the IMS pegs.
Managed to break the front brake lever already so I'll be getting those levers you mentioned. Need to get a pair of handguards, a skid plate, and a rear rack next. Oh, and it desperately needs a new set of tires, so those are priority #1.
Planning on setting the bike up for riding around and having fun nearby. But also using it on some longer trips on backroads and trails as well.
that's awesome dude!!! Hanguards and tires were the biggest transformation for me! Tires helped A LOT. I suggest Kenda Trakmaster II's on the front, and a Tusk D sport on the rear, and you're set. Both last a while on road and off, and provide good offroad grip.
Graphic designer that owns a klx 250 s here! I’ve been thinking about designing my own graphics for my bike too as there is a lack of cool graphics for our platform! Where’d you get the template? And would you share it?
Love the bike you’ve completely changed the goofy looking aspects
thanks so much dude! would love to help you out. hit my email and I can walk you through it. info@nickabstract.com
Nice bike dude I just got a 2018 KLX250
dude heck yeah! First bike? How do you like it so far??? - Nick
Looks so sick dude, even cooler knowing ya did it yaself
thanks so much!!! it was fun. would love to do more!
A cheap slip on and pulling the snorkel made a noticable difference to me . Nice bike !
I'm at that point!!! excited for more power, gonna try the KDX snorkel and possibly FMF Powe Core 4. we'll see!
Clean bike bro, I've got a 2014 klx250s that I've been stunting for the last few years and I'm building it up to be even better this year, your bikes graphics are awesome and I'm definitely going to be getting a graphics kit for my bike this year🙏
dude hell yeah man!!! I'd love to design yours if you are interested!
I ride a klx250s to. I'm on the indiana Illinois state line. Lots of nest back roads to ride and always looking for new ones
Nice! Where at? Would love to ride out there! I live in Whitestown, Indiana / Indianapolis.
@@americanaccents I'm in Danville Illinois. We ride along 63/41 along the Wabash River lots of cool places. We are really going to start looking for places around there this summer
@@mattsloop2736 oh heck yeah man. I'm in Whitestown, not too far from Terre Haute-ish area. Closer to Indy though. But riding.ewr the Wabash sounds like a blast man!!! Good trails out there? Lots of gravel?
@URBEXCROSS there's some nice back roads with some dirt roads to the river. I need to explore more of it on Google maps to figure out where to go exact
@@mattsloop2736 heck yeah. That sounds fun. May have to join ya one day
Also do all the free mods you can for this bike.
Remove the air box, decork the exhaust, there’s a few more and a good website/list online.
You won’t gain enough power to be scared or anything, it simply gives it the power and response it should have from the factory.
They heavily restricted these to make emission and left a lot of room for free at home gains at little to no expenses.
Good to know. Do you have to re-jet a bunch of stuff? or is it basically just remove some of the things and it performs better?
@@urbexcross a rejet is suggested I did it, it super easy and can be done without removing the carb there lots of videos on it! These bikes are super lean from the factory so you want to give it more fuel and richen the environment especially if you do the air box and exhaust mods as you’ll be increasing the flow of air in and out of the system on an already lean system so it’ll get more lean.
But I know lots that do the free mods before they get the jets and the bike still runs strong.
I would highly suggest this, before the mods I still loved the bike it was just a bit of a pig, really slow response and a very flat power curve with almost no grunt down low, all the usable power was above 4500-5000rpm, post mods you get lots more grunt down low which helps with all sorts of technical riding. Only other mod I have done that I think heavily improved the bike was some good sprockets, down 1t in the the front sprocket and up 2T in the rear I think. I still get about 130km/h top speed so didn’t loose much if any but acceleration is much better, and I can clutch the bike up in a wheelie in 1st,2nd,and 3rd no problem, and I can ride them out shifting all the way up to 6th.
~125$ for a dynajet kit and sprocket, plus the free mods turns the klx from a old man’s dual purpose, to a ultra rugged and completely capable and fun weapon.
@@johndalton1573 DAng John, SUPER helpful info!!! Thank you for writing these all out. Those performance updates are gonna be my next focus once I get the handle of the KLX the way she is now. I think for me, being an absolute dirt bike noob, the slow responsive pig is essential so I do'nt get hurt early on. But once I maybe consider doing a wheelie or clutching up over logs or something, I'll start to notice where i'm lacking an i'll NO DOUBT update her to the info you listed above. you're a champ! Thank ya. - Nick
Hey there Nick ! Love your content and hope to see more from you, I recently just got a 2019 KLX 250 and your videos are a big inspiration for me, love the mods you have done and I hope I can eventually make my bike look just as good
- Justice
Justice, thanks so much for dropping a comment and for finding my videos! I definitely enjoy making them and sharing them and hope that on rainy days we can all go back and rewatch some videos and feel like we are riding together somehow! where do you ride out of? and what are your thoughts on your KLX?
I’m in Canada ! I’m loving it so far it’s amazing, it’s my first bike since I was a kid, I use to have an 80cc dirt bike when I was young, I’ve been working hard and it’s been nice to finally purchase a bike again :)
@@KatRiders heck yeah!!! glad to hear that. I am jealous you had a bike when you were younger. where in Canada are you at? been up there a handful of times.
@@urbexcross im in ontario, im glad i rode a bit when i was younger also i feel like its helped me sort of know what to expect when riding off road, still pretty fresh tho its been a long time haha, its great getting back to it tho, especially on such a reliable bike
@@KatRiders That is awesome. Heck yeah. haven't been to Ontario! but did a road trip across BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and a little bit of Manitoba. I have a buddy who lives in Saskatoon, which is basically the Indiana equivalent, haha not much out there but beautiful country and nice folks. ☺️ cheers man. Canada will always hold a special place in my heart.
The two best mods I've done to mine. Delkevic slip on and removed the secondary throttle. It's a totaly different bike.
Dang! Good to know! How loud is that exhaust? I ride a lot of illegal trails and want to stay quiet that's my only worry.
I have the spark arrestor baffle in and I don't think it's loud at all. It has a good sound. Much better than the original exhaust system.
I love the design of your bike and mural would you ever consider designing a graphics for others?
absolutely! I love designing graphics for bikes. what bike do you have?
@@urbexcross it’s a 2012 klx 250s same one as you if I’m not mistaken
heck yeah I do designs for all kinds of bikes. head to nickabstract(.)com and shoot me an email 🤙🏼
Looks amazing
Thanks so much man! Sadly sold the bike and onto a KTM now! Still loving riding and the KTM is even better in my opinion for what I'm trying to ride!
PMR Motorcycle racks makes an awesome rack fits the profile of the bike and is even predrilled for Roto Pax. Great price and made in San Diego...Murica....check them out
heck yeah! good to know!!! thanks for the info bro!
@@urbexcross BTW I ride a 2014 klx250s and I also rejetted mine put the kdx200 snorkel and just got a Delkevic 14" carbon fiber slip on...The slip on is just a bit loud but a nice gain in power down low and better gas mileage.
@@supercrew63 heck yeah! that's great to hear!!! any difference on the Snorkel??
@@urbexcross the snorkel a little but the delkevic slip on woke it up nicely
hell yeah! I will look into this!
love the color scheme
yo thanks man! I have gotten some hate for it not being green. but I like blue and orange. and it's my bike so fuck it lol
I was gonna buy this bike today after seeing this video i might buy it tmrw i wanna do this
you who! it's a great bike!!! plenty of room to grow and learn on! you will love it. did you get one???
Would u help??
