@@sevenwingraven1699Yeah, I remember the episode you’re talking about. If I’m not mistaken, Newton reprised the same role on a later episode of Bonanza. But correct me if I’m wrong.
why weren't the early episodes in color, especially with Ward Bond who had a big influence in the behind the scenes of this show and big chops in the movies...nbc dropped the ball since it was the pioneer/invented color tv,got congress to drop cbs color only in favor of compatable tv, rca color, meaning it could be broadcast in color and black and white, peter pan with mary martin,1955courtesy of Gen David Sarnoff who did some military communication stuff during WWII .the cbs spinning disk system was used for years by NASA.there were a few nbc affiliates across the country in those days that spent the money to broadcast in color. westerns were the big draw for color tv since the market was flooded with this theme back in the fifties, cbs hesitated since they would have to buy equipment from rca,the parent company of nbc,cbs had over taken the ratings war from nbc bill paley, cbs owner, cringed at the thought of buying equipment from a rival/competitor...only reason Disney jumped from abc to nbc in 1961 was color ,tho some shows were filmed in color before the switch to nbc.
Anyone else ever wonder why in the song they say, "Sittin on a board eyin the weather prayin to the lord we stay together, SIDE BY SIDE on the wagon train." the side by side part is funny to me because they traveled in a single file line lol.
Well, I really like this jazzy 50's swing-type style of this version. The orchestral theme is just that, a theme. This version sounds more like a prayer for luck, making it to their planned destination. It screams 1950's- 60's Hollywood, along with "77 Sunset Strip". There are tv themes that just stick in my mind so much. "The Munsters, Ironside, The Rifleman, Gunsmoke, Batman, Gilligan's Island, Twilight Zone, Outer Limits", and this version of "Wagon Train". Wagons' Ho-ooh!

If you doubt this, feel free to google it. But I'm an avid old western show lover and I grew up watching RAWHIDE- Clint Eastwood and many more. Just being friendly and giving you some info.
They are talented
@@sevenwingraven1699Yeah, I remember the episode you’re talking about. If I’m not mistaken, Newton reprised the same role on a later episode of Bonanza. But correct me if I’m wrong.

Muito bom mas deveriam gravar em português
why weren't the early episodes in color, especially with Ward Bond who had a big influence in the behind the scenes of this show and big chops in the movies...nbc dropped the ball since it was the pioneer/invented color tv,got congress to drop cbs color only in favor of compatable tv, rca color, meaning it could be broadcast in color and black and white, peter pan with mary martin,1955courtesy of Gen David Sarnoff who did some military communication stuff during WWII .the cbs spinning disk system was used for years by NASA.there were a few nbc affiliates across the country in those days that spent the money to broadcast in color. westerns were the big draw for color tv since the market was flooded with this theme back in the fifties, cbs hesitated since they would have to buy equipment from rca,the parent company of nbc,cbs had over taken the ratings war from nbc bill paley, cbs owner, cringed at the thought of buying equipment from a rival/competitor...only reason Disney jumped from abc to nbc in 1961 was color ,tho some shows were filmed in color before the switch to nbc.
Muito.bom .só não recomendo o canal por não ser dublado em português

Skunkman
Anyone else ever wonder why in the song they say, "Sittin on a board eyin the weather prayin to the lord we stay together, SIDE BY SIDE on the wagon train." the side by side part is funny to me because they traveled in a single file line lol.
2 people sat at the reins. Side by side.

Love the program, unbelievably despise this theme. It’s too jazzy, to Las Vegas show tune for this program. I guess I’m the lone voice who hates it
Yes. Yes you are.
I'm with you on this, way too jazzy.
You are never alone.
You’re not alone. The lyrics are stilted and dumb. And clearly whoever ordered this version retired agreed with us.
Love this show ... still on.....!
