When I was in high school I was a huge music snob. Anything that wasn't So Cal punk rock sucked, in my opinion.... but then I was very immature. As I got older, my musical tastes also matured (I'll be 42 this Aug, graduated high school in 1995). If I am 100% honest, in the last 20yrs, listening to the radio, I would hear a song that I loved, and would have to find out who the singer was. 9 out of 10 times it was a Beyoncé song! A the moment, "drunk in love" is one of my most favorite Beyoncé song, but it's hard to pick just one, which is why I say, (at the moment...). Not only is she a fkn rediculously talented singer, but she is absolutely drop dead gorgeousness personified! My boyfriend says she is an alien.... as if to say her beauty, brains, and talent are all so uniquely on point that she must be from anotha world... (lol)! Anyways, I love when this song comes on, because I feel it's one of Beyoncé's most funnest hits to sing along with!
I have no problem with people who don't like Beyoncé, everyone has a preference. But to deny the fact that she is the greatest vocalist of our time and even call her talentless is utterly stupid. I wish Beyonce recorded more tracks like this .It completely showcases her soulful voice which I would argue is underused in some of her R+B songs .The song also challenges Stevie Wonder's Golden Lady for the most key changes at the end .
Her 4th album has more of this genre: Countdown and Schoolin Life for example. But tonight she is dropping a new song and the 29th of July she drops her ‘Renaissance’ album so if you’re lucky there’s more of this type of music on there.

Beyoncé hasn't stayed relevant in the music industry for 17 years because she does the same thing over and over again. She is constantly re-inventing herself every era. She knows what she needs to do to stay relevant, even if that consists of showing her body more than she would like.

When I was in high school I was a huge music snob. Anything that wasn't So Cal punk rock sucked, in my opinion.... but then I was very immature. As I got older, my musical tastes also matured (I'll be 42 this Aug, graduated high school in 1995). If I am 100% honest, in the last 20yrs, listening to the radio, I would hear a song that I loved, and would have to find out who the singer was. 9 out of 10 times it was a Beyoncé song! A the moment, "drunk in love" is one of my most favorite Beyoncé song, but it's hard to pick just one, which is why I say, (at the moment...). Not only is she a fkn rediculously talented singer, but she is absolutely drop dead gorgeousness personified! My boyfriend says she is an alien.... as if to say her beauty, brains, and talent are all so uniquely on point that she must be from anotha world... (lol)! Anyways, I love when this song comes on, because I feel it's one of Beyoncé's most funnest hits to sing along with!

I wish Beyonce recorded more tracks like this .It completely showcases her soulful voice which I would argue is underused in some of her R+B songs .The song also challenges Stevie Wonder's Golden Lady for the most key changes at the end .
Her 4th album has more of this genre: Countdown and Schoolin Life for example. But tonight she is dropping a new song and the 29th of July she drops her ‘Renaissance’ album so if you’re lucky there’s more of this type of music on there.

Absolutely! Hearing the song on the radio blew my mind, so I rushed to buy it. Then, I saw the video, and I couldn't believe my eyes. Beyonce was awesome as usual; but I could not take my eyes off the guys who were giving Beyonce a run for the spotlight. I think it was all about the choreography; where the background players made the song that much more lovable. This is my favorite Beyonce video; 2nd to NONE!!! Being an ex-hoofer myself, I appreciate choreography that works, and whoever did this one is the best there is today!
